I ve never really understood why should virtual instruments have built in effects.
Multiple outs and DAW-s own effects work jsut fine, and help keep the instrument clean and faster loading.

I m all in for some sort of bit-crusher in S1 though!

While I totally agree 100% of all that is said above, don't forget that most of the guitar players we hear on CD-s
are really-really good themselves. I more than often find that instead of messing around with amp-simulators and compressors and whatever, the time spent on practicing usually gives me the best result
