Smokin' band. and the recording is great.

I do think the vocals were somewhat swallowed up by the instruments.

But, overall... wish I were in your band.

Hmmm... Not sure. I'm not much of a midi guy... Looks like more homework...

But thanks for the tip. Any more insight would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Ok, I am attempting to midi in from my Roland TD-9 through an Audiobox USB hooked to an iMac. I have everything hooked up, the Studio One 2.5 sees the pads, but when I trigger my floor tom, for example, Studio One sounds a different instrument.

I tried midi learn, but that does nothing when i trigger a pad.

Is there a feature within Studio One that I am missing? for the time being I am just attempting to one of the kits from the Presence collection.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad

Having used Euphonix Artist, Novation, and Mackie controllers for awhile, I've honestly found that the AC7 is almost all I need. This app combined with the Faderport is a pretty good team.

Agreed! AC7 and Faderport are a killer combination. And AC7 is only like $8US. You could easily get by without the Faderport if money is an issue, but the 2 work together very well. Biggest complaint about AC7 is until Presonus fixes a few things, the meters don't work. But most other key features work really well. IMO a no-brainer for the money.

I thought I posted this question last night, but apparently it didn't go through.

Anyway, I recorded a community choir event with my 24.4.2/capture, separated the songs using markers, imported them into S1, mixed them all down, and now I am trying to figure out if there is a way to import that entire timeline from S1, containing about 12 songs into the mastering section.

I know that the normal workflow would be to mix the songs one at a time, and in separate S1 projects. But in this case it was just 3 overhead condenser mics a solo mic, and stereo piano. So I was able to do a "one mix fits all" approach on this one. But I can't figure out how to import them into the Mastering application. Do I need to save out each song as a separate project, and then import them that way?

Also, any tips on workflow for this type of scenario would be appreciated. I'm a live guy with minimal recording experience. But with the SL24 making multi track recording so easy, I'm sure I will be wanting to expand my studio chops.

Thanks,
Brad

Downloaded the AC-7 Core control surface for my iPad yesterday and I must say, I'm really impressed. Setup is a little clunky, but once you're up and running it opens up lots of opportunities. Since it's a wifi app, I can now work in the live booth and control S1 without needing someone in the control room.

Lot's of possibilities, and as I have seen mentioned in other threads, I would really like to see Presonus develop a proprietary version of their own.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I too would like to toss in my wish for better controller support.

I just downloaded AC-7 Core to use with S1 v2. I also ordered a Faderport.I am anxious to see how they work together.

Yes the rack ears comes with a new StudioLive 16.4.2 only. Last know they are not shipping with the 16.0.2 as of yet.

Ahhhhh.... life is good. Good, indeed!

Thanks!

Talked to Tech Support, and it looks like something is broken. I have to go back to Snow Leopard and reflash the rom - Argh! The joys of working with beta software. Oh well, I have always been the pioneering type...

Well, I spent the better part of last evening trying to get the Solo to work with no luck. And to clarify something I misstated above, it wasn't the PFL that I had engaged it was the mains. So, in actuality, I can't get the Solo function to work at any level.

Looks like I'll be calling tech support today.
