Studio One Tips and Tricks » Hi do I create an 808 Kick » Go to message
Studio one does not really have much tools for sound design built-in.

That said, with 808 it is easy, download some 808 samples (Wave Alchemy for example has a good free pack) and make your own impact
kit of them. (Check youtube for tutorials on building impact kits).
And tweak ahead from there.

It is not deleted when I delete it, i can get it back with dragging the edge, but after ja merge or bounce it, it is gone.

i cant seem to be able to reproduce this. No matter if I use split tool, range tool or just drag the edges to make edits, both Merge events (G) and Bounce Selection (ctrl+b) merge the events and keep my edits.
Studio One Tips and Tricks » How to change the starting point of the loop? » Go to message
I don't think it is possible the way it can be done in ableton clips.

For the ones not using ableton, you can set the loop range points and loop start separately, as shown in screenshot.

Okey, I guess I m a bit oldschool here, to me it makes more sense to have the other intruments playing too and the carve out space for them
accordingly.

Nodnod!
That is the tricky part, you need to hit the stereo switch on the track.
Studio One Tips and Tricks » Best way to record direct bass with minimal gear? » Go to message
I hear ya, sometimes the funny little box you have laying in the corner has the sound you've been looking for years!
And ofcourse getting sound right on the way in definately has its benefits, like you are actually "playing" the effects.
My post was more of a general nature, that if one does not know what they are doing, then less is always more.

Glad to hear that you got your sound down the way you like it!
Studio One Tips and Tricks » Best way to record direct bass with minimal gear? » Go to message
I really would keep the chain as clean as possible. I see no point using some cheap stuff in front of it, unless I really-really like the sound.
Di, or direct in (depending the quality of di box).
And as for printing effects, I d have to be 100% sure that i don't want to tweak them later.
