Just go to the C://Program Files/CommonFilles/VST3 and rename the Waves shell to something else and S1 will rescan the plugins and they will work.
I assume this is S1's fault, did not happen before 2.5
I already submitted a support ticket but as I have not received any reply might as well post it here:
Request #102891
multi out transform bugs
Dec 03 15:20
1. when midi data for all the channels is on one instrument track, when reverting it gives me a totally different VST,
I had Impulse when reverted it had a synth
2. when midi data for kick, snare etc... is on separate instrument tracks it renders the track selected plus all the other channels as muted/silent and it does not give the option to "remove instrument" because I have only one of the tracks selected
if I select all of them it gives me the option to remove instrument, but it renders as above, one channel plus the rest muted multiplied by the number of channels. so for kick snare and hh you get the three tracks plus 6 muted audio tracks
3. if while in transform mode I edit a parameter on a vstFx or add a fx, when I revert to instrument all edits are lost and added vst's removed
Toth wrote:I am not very impressed by the new folder editing option. It is not any sort of a container, it is just a region that will select anything that is under it when you click on it. It would be nice if they were containers and you could combine them, rename them, change their colours, etc.
It just seems like PreSonus introduces cool ideas and you have to wait for the next version for them to be fully thought out.
My guess is they are laying the foundation for features that will come in v3

Yes indeed. It looks like they do. This is SUCH a time saving with arranging tracks man.
Everyone was looking for an "arranger" type of function. Well... this gets us pretty damn close to that if you ask me. Being able to cut/paste and move multiple clips this easily is fantastic. I had a few projects I was waiting to complete mixing and arranging b/c I knew I had to move around a lot of stuff and it would be a nightmare. This feature is looking very good so far.
Yes it seems they do, but, and there is always a but , you CAN NOT RENAME the folder event it keeps the folder track name for all the event parts.
On the good side this looks more and more to something like blocks
the track transform for "render all channels" is full of bugs and useless at the moment, I like the idea, but come on, is anyone beta testing this. How can such big oversights be made.

CTStump wrote:I think by the time it's released everyone will probably be going, Meh, it's about time. That's what happens when you announce 2 or 3 months early with no hype or info to follow it up other than a 5 minute video promising over a 100 items fixed or improved, not to mention all those that will be disappointed because their pet request was not included.
I hope they release this before all the Excitement wears off.
Just what I was thinking I don't think it's all right to announce something 2,3 moths in advance and not follow up with detailed information, unless and really unless they have something major as a surprise like blocks or matrix view etc.
However I will still anxiously wait for the folder edit feature and see how well it is implemented and if it can be used for faster arrangement
At the moment, it looks to me as S1 and Cubase are playing catch up with each other. Cubase catching up to S1's modern UI, workflow and robustness, while S1 catching up on Cubase's essential editing and arranging features.
hmm they even brought Variaudio to be closer to what Melodyne is in S1
First thoughts
- hate the UI. cheesy, non stylish and confusing
- Like the console idea, I can only dream the day when Presonus do a partnership with Slate, Softube or FabFilter
- Mixer global plugin bypass, plugin A/B, full screen
I don't care about the FREE, I am sure it will be a reasonable update like v2 was,
I just want it now, I've been waiting so long for the Multi-Timbral freeze, and ability to edit folders, at least I'll have some sort of easy way to do arrangements with them
But right now I'll settle with some official announcement with details
v3 is in the works? now I am even more frustrated. Where is that darn 2.5 update.
was he insinuating that v3 is close to being ready and that maybe they will bypass 2.5 ?
