"Would be cool if they were but it hasn't happened yet."
I must be ahead of the technology...LOL...Not knowing my white hat from a dixie cup...Or sh*t from shinola as far as computer recording. Is/are there such devices on the market today? Not that I'm shying away from the goodness that is Presonus. If they do exist I would expect the $$$ component would be quite high?
Thanks again. I would be interested in the BCR the most for dealing with EQ, comp, eff, etc. Would it be conceivable to use the BCR in conjunction with a FaderPort?
Thanks. The Behringer stuff looks interesting at my price point.
Now for a really stupid question, Can a StudioLive 16.0.2 be used to control StudioOne?
I just downloaded StudioOne demo and while playing with the parametric EQ, 17 knobs, mousing is a time consuming inaccurate drag. I checked out the FaderPort, that doesn't seam to do what I'm looking for? Would the Griffin Powermate work? Thanks.
Thank you kind sir. Is all the software for these products happy with Mountain Lion or vice-versa? Does VLS software work with Fire studio, it's just not bundled?Another concern is the headphone outputs. I would like to be able to overcome the PA in my headphones to (for short periods of time) monitor what I'm recording. I have AKG K271 MKII. 55 ohms @ 200mW max input.
FireStudio Mobile 150 mW @ 60 ohms output,
22vsl 30mW@60 ohms
Do these numbers mean the FireStudio will provide more usable volume or the 22VSL would be plenty? Thanks again .
PS I did 6 years in the Navy, made it to E-6 before I bailed.
I did a few searches and did not find what i was looking for. Please direct me to the correct thread if there is 1.
I just received a Mac Mini 2012 i7 quad and I have decided to go with PreSonus for a small interface. PreSonus Has a wonderful reputation for customer support and your gear is solid. I had a ACP 88 back in analog, live rock, world, many of my competitors were quit jealous!
But I didn't know anything about your customer support because I never had any problems with it and it kicked @ss !
I like the 22vsl and the FireStudio Mobile. I am looking for advice between the 2. A $50 difference, is it worth it? I will just be fooling around with GarageBand (because I have some experience with it) and learning StudioOne. The Mini has a FW800 jack and 4 USB 3 BlaBla.
I am also considering a StudioLive 16.0.2 down the road so that is somewhat of a consideration.
I think there is a question in here somewhere? Please help me burn the last few dollars I have left to spend. I'm itchin to mix
My first post here, I didn't know weather to start a new thread or not, so I'll try this. I am going to buy a Mac Mini and I think a 22VSL. I have been in cheap Windows PC world for 10 years and I think it's time for me to spring for a new Mini as they are quite hot (2012 model). I had Macs before the 10 years and played around a bit with GarageBand, G4 laptop and an M-audio USB Pro? interface worked great for fooling around, a little slow but fun.
I talked to Sweetwater and told them I wanted a 2 channel interface and a simple, fast, stable DAW for some simple 2 track stuff. They suggested the 22VSL and Studio One I know my way around live rack gear and like to do a lot of reverb tricks and that tends to be processor intense? Would the base Mini do? 2x2.5 i5 chip for $600 or the mid level 4x2.3 i7 chip for $800 If this post is in the wrong place can it be moved?
Thanks, Jack.
