24.4.2 » SL 24 Limiter for InEars » Go to message
The Rolls PM50s and PM351 headphone amps do not have a limiter.
24.4.2 » SL 24 Limiter for InEars » Go to message
We're using Aux busses as our IEM system with the headphone amps on the stage and iPads so each musician has control. Is the limiter in the SL24 adequate for hearing protection? It looks like we need each Aux set as PRE 2 to get the limiter in the signal path. Anything else we need to do?

The other frequently discussed external limiter is the Rockbox. I'm guessing that would be for someone who's worried about the console not being set up properly or just to have a backup for their hearing protection.

I think I got it. Had to display Volume for each track.

I've probably used video editors too much to figure out Studio One 2 quickly. With the video editors there is a rubber band mode that lets me add points on each audio track and adjust audio around those. I was able to go into Write for a track in SO which gave me those points that I can see by clicking Ctrl A. Is there a way to create a point or node without going into Write mode, playing the track, adjusting the fader, stopping playback and going back out of Write mode? Any suggestions would be great.

How do I create a scribble strip scene?

Where can I find your tutorial gadget69? That might teach me this and much more!
StudioLive General Discussion » Universal Control Labels » Go to message
Great info guys. How do I save a scene with nothing but the labels?
StudioLive General Discussion » Universal Control Labels » Go to message
Is it possible to have a default Scene that will load when Universal Control starts up?

Can I have a Scene that only saves Channel Labels and Aux Labels? I want to use this for in-ear monitors and QMix iPods on the stage. I don't want to store anything but the labels that show up for that when I load the scene. Don't want to change any of the console settings.

Thanks for the help guys!

What's the possibility of sending each Aux's audio to an iPod Touch via Wi-Fi for an all in one in-ear monitor system? Plug you ear-buds into the iPod and crank it up!

Is the firmware update for the 24.4.2 out yet?
Live Sound » Route Aux to Subgroup Fader » Go to message
Thanks for the reply. The sneak path of patching external to the console always whips the design engineers plans. To save a channel, I plan to go from Aux 9 Out into Aux Input A. I've got a short TRS-TRS cable to do this with. Yes, I don't want to send this to the Mains.

Live Sound » Route Aux to Subgroup Fader » Go to message
The console as originally supplied did not allow an Aux mix to be routed so it can be controlled by a subgroup fader. Has that been changed with new firmware? I want to use Aux 9 to build a subwoofer mix but use the Subgroup 4 fader to controll that.

Thanks for any suggestions. . .Bill
24.4.2 » Wireless Router Advice » Go to message
Thanks for the replies. The decision is made. I'll get the Extreme and an iMac and be done with it.

The original question stands. There is another router in the building where internet access comes from that is shared throughout the facility. It is on an open WiFi for anyone who wants access to the internet. If I hook the iMac to the Extreme which will be secured WiFi, that will give me control of VSL from an iPad. To get internet on the iMac, I will hook up between the router with internet and the router at the iMac. Will anyone on the open wireless router be able to get to the VSL for remote control? Obviously I don't want that.
