StudioLive General Discussion » Router connection issues » Go to message
Ok, we recently updated the software and got a new TP-link router. We set it up at home and had no issues, that we could find. Then we got to a show and our iPad will connect to the router perfectly fine, however the iPad will drop the presonus connection randomly, and when it does connect it is very slow. We've tried changing out every cable and even switched to an old router. The AI software won't seem to recognize our new router.. Any ideas what this cold be?

Hmm, interesting.. We have a mac mini hooked up to it that I use. So if we got him a MacBook, he can stay wireless and go through its interface to solo and hear his mix?

Hey guys, got a idea. Our FOH guy mixes the live shows we do from his iPad, while I stay with the board on stage to mix monitors. We'd like him to be able to solo and hear things from where he is. Our original thought was to get wireless inears and go straight from the headphone output on our board, then he could just tell me what he wants to solo. This method is not so good. Is there any way he can control his own headphones or inears at FOH without disrupting my work? Perhaps a way to hook up to the iPad?... It's a tricky problem, any ideas are appreciated.
Cheers,

Thanks, but my reason for asking us because all 3 of us are in different locations, we run off one console, FOH is run from iPad. I'm thinking like inears, or 2 way radio??

Ok so our production company us getting quite busy and the FOH and I (monitor engineer) are getting further apart distance wise at venues. I'm on the hunt for a good 2 way radio/headset system or any other ideas so we can communicate with each other... Even better if we could throw the LD in that mix also.. The 3 of us have real trouble finding ways to communicate with each other during shows.. Any yips tricks or ideas are appreciated.
Thanks and cheers
