Sure. Just get all levels right where they belong while recording, and you can leave all faders at unity while mixing.

Why would you change you Input device? Just leave it to "All" and you're good, aren't you?

As for Output (the VSTi your MIDI goes to) it works just like ricstudioc said. You don't even need a modifier key.

Record Enable works the same way, and Automation mode (tried here in the mixer) as well.

So either I heavily misunderstood what you are trying to do, or you just have to look a little closer before shouting out a sweeping "LAME".

If you are able at all, get a dedicated audio computer by an audio/computer specialist (there are a number of ones with a good name in different countries). At least that's my advice unless you really know your stuff.

Needless to say, my AB1818 VSL works just fine with my computer ...

Can't really elaborate, but I can tell you I just love it.

No noticeable audio quality issues here either.

The top number seems to be locked to the Peak/RMS settings. And that's ok, but it really threw me off because I always assumed it followed the scale you have the meters set to.

Anyone can check this. Set your Master bus meter to K-14 and see if the LED's match the top number. They don't on my system unless I select Peak/RMS.

Hey Shane, the read-out is indeed fixed to show the peak level. This is still compliant to K-specs, though, so I'd consider this intended, not a bug.
