Studio One General Discussion » Is there a way for dual bus system? » Go to message
Hi, is there a way in Studio One to put the same channels in two different buses?
For example, all drums mono/stereo channels into a first bus to add compression, and also into a second bus to maintain the original sound and punch.
Thanks in advance .

note: you'll find a copy of this message also in the new Presonus forum, same message in two different places !
Studio One General Discussion » No media folder created = No files imported in the song's folder » Go to message
Hello, from serevral months S1 doesn't create any Media folder for the project, therefore it doesn't copy anyone of the audio samples imported in the song.
So....ehm, what's happened ?
Thanks in advance .
Studio One General Discussion » Export problems: AIMP3 says "32bit" on 16bit exported files! » Go to message
Hello,
I use AIMP3 as media player on my PC (W764bit).
I export my songs in wave @16bit and 44,1KHz but sometimes AIMP3 says "unsupported format - 32bit wave file" on some files/songs.
If I use WMP12 no problems at all, but to listen some of the filese in AIMP3 I have to convert them again into the AIMP3 conversion suite.

Is this a Studio One export fault or just a AIMP3 bug?
Thanks in advance .

Tested: the new plug-ins are great (Fat Channel is a fantastic addition) and the Presonus DSP support is a appreciated thing, great for a future DSP purchase.
But CPU still loads about 100% at the start of each song loaded: when you will solve this ?

Studio One MUST BE PERFECT !

Mhhh, just one core....are you sure?
The Windows CPU Meter shows me always a peak of over 90% of use when I have loeaded a .song file....
However, thanks for the detail in every case .

And YES, this bug MUST be optimized.
I remember that the previous versions don't suffer of this problem.

CPhoenix wrote:Happens to me as well... however... it's neer really had any effect on anything. Most programs seem to do that. I always thought it had to do with normal program behaviour where it's using a lot of CPU power to get up and running, and when it's running.. it's good from there.

This still happens to you?
Namely....this happens to a system equipped with 4,5GHz i7 an 32GB of RAM ?

This sounds like a Studio One bug, I hope that developers will slve this in the future release.
Ok, it doesn't affect anything but I still in thought with my CPU : a 100% power of use every time I load a song is not so good, and I open 6-7 songs in a day, 10 if it's necessary, many times in the same day.....

Hi friend.
I've tought about your phrase "...or it's a bug in S1" and I have to say "It'sa S1 problem!"

I write this 'cause I''ve done a test with S1 Free that's installed on my Home PC System (i3 Sandy bridge, 4GB RAM), with only 4 Presence instances.
The result at the load of the song is this, CPU meter in red:

Only Presence sampler, and just one Redlight FX plug-in used in one single track.
Tried with many latency settings but no changes were notified.
Very bad thing .
Studio One General Discussion » CPU Overload at the load of every song....why? » Go to message
Hi Presonusers, the first time I've got this I've tought to a jBridge problem, 'cause in my previous projects I've used to load a lot of bridged x86 plug-in into x64 Studio One 2 Pro (2.5.2), now I use mainly or preferably 64bit plug-ins but I still have the same problem.

At the load of a project/song file, the CPU meter goes in overload, and the red square appaears: two seconds after it disappears, logically.
I know the CPU abuse of jBridge whet it have to load plug-ins, but I don't understand why this appears also in project where I use only 64bit plug-in (synths and effects).

I have i5 750CPU and 6GB of RAM.
Someone knows why this happens?

S1 is well known for having CPU issues vs other hosts. It's pretty well documented.

QUESTION: What were you using before?

I used (and still use, sometimes) FL Studio....still known for its huge CPU issues!

Hi, now I'm on 2.5.2 , but in my case no significant improvementes were added.
Studio One General Discussion » Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 vs Studio One 2.5.1 = huge CPU use! » Go to message
Hi, I know that ny OS is out of date....but in every way the problem appears just in Studio One.
I use also FL Studio 11, Sonar X1 and in the past I used Reaper 4: no CPU problems at all with these DAWs.
But Studio One is my DAW of choice, damn!

Precisely, I got high CPU spikes (as very fast transients), expecially when I play the notes on my MIDI keyboard (Alesis Q series): the meter is going up and down, except when I set the latency buffer to the maximum level (10/10), that remains at low levels and static use, but I have extra latency....

New interface, new problems !
I've bought a cheapy Scarlett 2i2 audio card interface by Focusrite and my Studio One 2.5.1 on Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (no SP1 for now, I will install it after a format for the next year because I don't want to waste another one of my initial 5 S1 licenses - 4 left - ) shows an intense CPU use, more intense than other interfaces that I used in the past, with same VSTi/MIDI tracks and audio tracks.
The driver settings can't help, and if i switch to 96KHz my PC calls me "ba**ard": my PC configuration is based on a i5 750 processor with 6gb of RAM, and 1TB Hard disk (7200rpm).

I can't know if this is a Focsurite or a Presonus fault.
Someone of you here solved this?

However, try to check your settings in the Options > Advanced > MIDI.

Try to activate "Cut long notes at part end", and/or Chase long notes. This could help.

Thanks, I gave a fast listening and the problem seems to be solved (for now) .
Studio One General Discussion » MIDI problem: stopped song, infinite sound! » Go to message
It's very strange to descrive this .
I have a (MIDI) problem in Studio One Pro with some VSTi: when i stop the song, many of them (U-He, Tek'it Audio and Cakewalk softsynths mainly) still continues to play wth a no-end tone.
Sometimes I can stop this tone clicking in any another point of the song, but other times I can stop this tone only closing and reloading the song.

Someone knows how to solve?

I really love it , I use it with extreme parameters on basses and drums (I play and produce industrial electronic music) and the result is always awesome!

My actual audio card is damaged and I need to replace it with a new one: I will need a new license file ?
Thanks in advance.
