Go to http://support.presonus.com and put in a support ticket. Once that's done, PM me the ticket # and I'll take a look!

Sounds like a power issue (such as laptop power cable issues, or the like)

but we'll take a closer look and see.

To AudioBox VSL Customers,

We have been made aware of several issues regarding noise and pops and clicks when using the AudioBox VSL with Mac and PC systems. We are actively investigating these reports to confirm the reported failures and look for possible solutions. As we are investigating this, we do not have an estimated time for solutions, we ask that you be patient knowing that we have made this a top priority with our development team.

As more information becomes available we will post responses here.

Thanks,

Universal Control 1.7.1 Public Beta

This Beta update to Universal Control fixes two bugs existing in the UC 1.7 release:

Issue 1 - GEQ band faders in VSL changed StudioLive 24.4.2 Subgroup Delay values to random numbers.

Issue 2 - GEQ assignments for the StudioLive 24.4.2 were not recalled with scenes in VSL when the “GEQ” scene recall filter was set to “Yes” (although this was not the case when recalling scenes with GEQ assignments on the mixer) NOTE: Old scenes with GEQ assignments will still not load the assignments as expected in UC 1.7.1. Only new scenes created with this Beta release will retain GEQ assignment information.

During the course of this Public Beta, we will fix issues in Universal Control while working towards the next official release

I use the 1602 in some really wild setups and I've found no issues with its midi-interface capabilities or its Audio Routing facilities that would hinder what you are trying to do. On the contrary, I think it would be well suited for your application.

my only concern is the use of Pro Tools, as I've never used that product.

Perceval,

I have initiated a support ticket for you since none was found. Please check your email. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance in troubleshooting your issues. There may be something in your system configuration that could be tweaked to offer you a better experience with the 1818 or even solve your issues completely!

You've got to go into VSL "setup" to go into Flexible Inputs routing. Then just choose Main L/R.

If you have USB 2.0, that is the type of port to use. USB 3.0 will work ONLY if you go to the USB 3.0 chipset manufacturers website and download their latest driver for their chipset. Windows 7 does not support USB 3.0 properly according to microsoft. Windows 8 supports 3.0 native however.

Hi Dan,

If you would, Send me your Support Ticket # and I'll take a look at the situation and make sure things get handled up for you. I totally understand your frustration and I would like to take a look at all the data to see if there was some type of environmental issue at work. If it truly is a firmware problem, I can help move it to the dev team for resolution.

Cheers,

Jason
