I agree with Eike's disagreement about my agreement for Kahlbert's dis......... - get headache.

Eike was right.
It would be consequent that a ghost copy is a real clone with all its features.

If you wanna color your song like verses and chorusses, than make a copy, not a clone.

So YES, i also think thats a great future feature.

Studio One General Discussion » SampleOne - Does it respond to Instrument Part Automation? » Go to message
Hello Richard,

the Sample One does'nt have a main volume. So the midi volume cant work.
What you can do, is following:

- Go into the midi editor. Click on volume, that you can see the "midi volume" curves.
- Select all. Copy that.
- right click on the "AMP GAIN" in Sampler One, and select: Edit gain automation
- an automation track was created. Now just paste your midi volume data.

That works.

I am sorry, that you feel insulted by me.
That was not my purpose.

Maybe it is the language barrier or it is my wrong opinion.
I tried to help you. I analyzed you track. You said, you dont know how to use these tools. Then i said with friendly mind, that nobody have to be able to know everything. So that for example you can concentrate to music and an engineer would have a look when you have finished your work.

I dont know, where there really was a bad word to you. Thats a normal method or practice all over the world.
I am nearly sure, that you cant hear (or feel) the low frequencies i was telling you about the S1 song with headphones. So you could confess the fact, that you dont have the optimal or ideal mixing and mastering situation. So i gave you practical tips on the 1st page of this thread to solve the problem. Simply try that. I hope it will help.

My idea is still that you should work in collaboration. Just before you go on tour or wherever you have a release.

I apologize for my misconceiving words.
all the best

Hi Bobby,

i am sad to hear about your problems!
But what exaclty are the problems?

Just problems to load special 3rd Party Plugins? If yes, WHAT vst?
What do you do, when it crashes?

If you or we can identify the problems, then they can be solved.

all the best

okok. you are right.

Then i think there isn't a problem here.
He knows about the PA, and Headphones, and mixing, mastering, analyzing. The relationship between all these things. And to handle everything.

Then the problem is solved i would say.

(and yes, i do everything too. Maybe my sentence means: "Not everybody is able to do everything." agree with it? )

If you want to release that professional, as CD or Live, and you are not real sure in engineering then give it to an audio engineer before you release!!! He will solve all problems. (most) You cant do everything. Musicians are musicians. And engineers are engineers. Everybody has its job.

Then its not a real or a representativ comparison.

Ok, but i have noticed another problem in your S1 Mix. There a terrible sub frequence. They are so damn deep, that i dont think that you hear that at home. But with a powerfull PA it comes to the light.

Solution:
Set a LowCut filter from the ProEQ on your bass instrument. (or maybe its another instrument - check it with the analyzer)
48dB/Oct & 40hz. That should fix that PA problem.

The rest of the song is ok. And like Synthphonix said yet, its clear and sounds good.

stroud college wrote:Are you playing them as mp3s through the PA system?
I always find that the quality of mp3 over wav really shows up when you play them through a good PA system.

"mp3 is designed to sound good when being played through cheap headphones or mobile phones?"

thats absolutely nonsence!

ok and it doesnt matter to the tracks here.

I dont wonder why it sounds different.
Because that are different songs. With different Sounds, different Drums, Instruments, etc.

i am very interested in both mixes! (reaper & studio one)
Could you post it?

Maybe just a 30sec snippet or so, if you dont want to up the whole tracks.

Then maybe i can tell you whats wrong.

Studio One General Discussion » Where did you install V2? In the same folder as V1? » Go to message
The perfect way is to install there, where Studio One 2 want to install.
Just click further and ok. The installer is intelligent and installs in that way, that you never have conflicts.

Studio One General Discussion » Q: new content installation in S1 v2 » Go to message
If you have a soundset, just double click it and it will install automaticly.
And then Studio One knows where it is and how to handle it. Just double click it.
