I started a ticket through the support tab. I am filling out my RA form today and sending it down to them once I have the RA number. Cost for repair is $175.00, unless under warranty of course. Make sure your board is registered online here as well to help facilitate your request for service.

Thanks guys! I have a ticket going now. This is actually my second board. First one crapped out after the 3rd time turning it on 2 years ago. I love this board though so I will deal with it.

Hi All,

I am having an issue with my board freezing up. There is a loud screech and then all meters freeze and there is no controlling them or getting sound. This is happening at all different time intervals and I can turn off the board and restart but eventually it will freeze again. Doesn't matter if I am hooked into my MacBook or stand alone. I even tried the factory reset but that didn't help. Any suggestions would be appreciated, but I think this will need to be sent back for repair.

Tried the inputs again at home and still nothing. Sent it back to MF and have another on the way. I am just as excited as I was the first time lol!!

Thanks guys! I am not having a problem with assignments, they were all there. In fact, I had all the drums set to sub1, then sub1 to mains and those channels are still set that way. I can see all the settings for the scene we saved are there and I can adjust everything because I see the FAT channel "faders" working visually. I can select a channel and load effects to it. I can link channels and copy as well. Everything seems to be working as normal except I literally can't get the inputs to work. No signal is being read by my input meter for channel 1 (or any channel we tried) when I insert the mic. I can select the channel and slowly turn up the input gain knob and nothing happens, there is no reading of a signal coming into the preamp. It is as if nothing is even plugged into the channel.

As far as saving it a certain way, we went to an empty slot, entered a name and hit store. It may be possible I missed something there.
I will definately look into the inverter for the generator too, as we have another outdoor event in 2 weeks, thank you. I will have a chance tomorrow evening to take it out and mess with it again. I appreciate all of your advice and I'll keep you posted.

Hey Now,

Just bought the SL16.4.2 at the beginning of the month and was really looking forward to using it for a big outdoor show. Luckily, we were able to set up and sound check the night before. We did use a generator (6500 watt) to run all our equipment (all Behringer powered speakers - 2 - subs, 2- B215 and 3 B212 for monitors). We were able to get up and running and I saved the scene on the board, as we had another band coming the next day to play first. Being that we were outside (under a big tent), I unplugged snake and packed the board up for the night. Took it back out the next day and hooked everything back up, powered up the board, then the speakers (no computer being used, just stand alone). I went to put on the iPod for some music through the tape in and...nothing. I could not get any of the 16 channel inputs to work, as well as the tape in and talk back mic. We turned it on and off thinking maybe a we started it in the wrong sequence, but no matter how many times, no inputs. I tried using the scene for zeroing out the board and still nothing. In my research so far, I can't find troubleshooting advice beyond check the input cable or output level of device being used and I am not seeing too many people having this issue. We did have a back up board with us and were able to continue with the show, but I was so disappointed because the sound check went so well the night before. I am truly hoping that the problem I experienced was due to my lack of knowledge with the board so far Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
