Using buses and sends is all cool, but sometimes it is just more convenient to put an effect on the channel itself. And a lot of those "need" stereo - delays, reverbs, autopan and so on. That is when you need to press the stereo button.

ok, try this, set the track to mono, bounce it (ctrl+b), and then set it back to stereo and add effects.

Ok, I try to chime in here.

Unless you are recording with 2 microphones, or a stereo microphone, there is absolutely no reason to record on a stereo track, because, it is still mono.

Processing this track later with stereo effects is a whole other matter, though. So I would advise to record to mono track ( the mentioned
o and ? button set to o). And then after recording, switch it to ? to get the stereo effects.

Studio One Feature Requests » Presence and/or Sample One - be more than a sample player. Like a real sampler. (Ah found one!) : ) » Go to message
Big

I think a decent sampler is the only instrument what I really wish for presonus to work on at all, because sampler could heavily gain
from the drag drop features already there.

I like the sound, but it really could use wet/dry and gain controls.

Bump!

I cant be the only one trying to control plugins with midi controllers. Is there a workaround? How you guys manage?

This freebie from voxengo gives some more options than the stock presonus one.

can always bring impact in, rename the channels and save it all as template.

I am going to be the mean guy here

Just make some decisions. If it is junk then it is junk, if it's good it is good.

Ok, bounce them and delete, and if you really really think there was uber-super-duper track lost, they should still be in the pool.

Oh, forgot to mention, I really would love some more shortcuts for messing with the console!

!!!
Studio One Feature Requests » Narrow/expanded Console view » Go to message
There is a shortcut for 'open channel', which expands the selected channel. If you select another channel, and press it again, it opens the new one and minimizes the previous one. It does not minimize the channels you have opened with double click.

I for sure can put another vote in for stsabilty and workflow. Workflow is very personal ofcourse, but everything just makes sense to me, and it behaves the way I except it to, and setting are where I look for them, so I rarely have to grab the manual.

Only big gripes I have are the samplers, I really dont get why they have 3 rather bad ones, instead of making a good one.

And midi editing, the piano roll gives me gray hair every time I use it. I mostly do multitrack audio recording so it is not that big of an issue for me
but something worth considering, and trying out before you buy.

They sure look cool, but yeah, changing shortcuts, and you're fucked.

And the price? Are they made of gold?
