I like Ampire and Guitar Rig. I got the Ampire Metal Pack, and I like to use that for classic rock or 70s jazz fusion tones by turning the gains down and building my own preset for it instead of the presets it comes with. I need to try out them Dick Head amps.lol
I use a Korg AX1000G in almost bypass mode, just a cabinet emulator switched on, to "tube drive" the plug ins. Is Guitar Rig 5 worth the money compared to GR4?

but as for sims... S-Gear by Scuffham is about the best clean sounds i have found in sims. i am in love with Amplitube's Orange AD30... sounds just like my old Ampeg Jet J12d from the 60's. and for metal... i love the cerified Carvin V3M model by Amplitube. so i am not in need of a new sim. would like to test the metal pack but not paying $30 to say nah...
when i was out to buy a new tube to replace my old ampeg... i was crossed between the Carvin V3M and the Nomad Vintage Series and ended up buying the Nomad so when Amplitube put out the V3M model... i jumped all over it.
this my Nomad... very beautiful looking and sounds better than it looks! of course i put in the Celestion V30 along with the white tolex.
Nice set up, I use a Carvin MTS 3212 and a Carvin Bolt.
I'd love it if they did a bunch more add ons for Ampire XT. I got the metal pack, even though I only play metal occasionally, and it's good for tones besides metal.
I'm a novice when it comes to recording digitally. Anytime I'm mixing something down to upload to soundcloud, I always throw on the Limiter at -3db. After reading a lot of this thread, I now feel as though I might be part of the dark side in these loudness wars. Is it bad to be using the limiter all the time?
will do, I'm just waiting around for the melodyne, apparently it takes 45 minutes.lol I'm just in it for the project option. I'm trying to record my versions of DSOTM, WYWH and Animals.
I figured out what's happening with it. For some reason, S1 2.6 is reading Reaktor 5 version 5.5, even though my stand alone version is 5.9 and up to date. I need to figure out how to get S1 to read the 5.9 version instead of 5.5, because the Spark and Factory Selection won't work as VST in anything but 5.6 and up.
For some reason, no matter what pathways I've added in locations or reloaded, I can't get Spark or Factory Selection to work in the Reaktor Player 5 in Studio One 2.6 Producer for the life of me (in the 32 bit format). Reaktor, I know, doesn't show up in 64 bit at all so I haven't even tried that. The R2 selection of Reaktor works just fine for me, and the rest of the Komplete Elements bundle work fine (incuding the other free bundles I've downloaded). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
