well, to be honest, it really isn't by choice. I just don't delete them after installing the new version. I mean, i don't have version 1 here anymore, but anything after 2.0 is just there.
don't know about you, but i never get rid of my earlier versions of S1 when i upgrade. Just in case this kind of thing happens. All my old versions are accessible in my App folder.

It's all good. I'm all over the map when it comes to music. I go through phases where all i wanna hear is 80's modern rock or sometimes i'll have a listen to early gangsta rap (nwa, cubes first record, or eazy-e), it all depends on my mood. I love metal too. Sometimes i'll have a day where i just throw on my moms old Dionne warwick records....
I like it all. Kinda why i wanted to bring this thread back. get some new music in my life.
Lokey, that whole Bjork Homeogenic album is pretty awesome. So is Vespertine.
I'm currently listening to the first queens of the stone age on vinyl. on my ATH-m50's. IT sounds absolutely amazing. Also lately lots of Smiths, depeche mode, the cure and echo and the bunnymen.and i can't forget about Billy Squire. for some reason Billy Squire has really gotten under my skin lately.

Alicia's Keys is a 'moody' piano. It really is good for slower pieces with a soft to medium attack.
It's eq as presented is setup for solo piano, and as such you will have to eq it quite a bit to fit a denser mix.
As far as a piano for electro pop, it just won't really cut it. You could really eq it, but the attack just isn't the right type.
You probably want something that offers a harder hammer (harder felt or even a tack style strike).
For electro pop, where you may be maxing out the velocity or using a fixed velocity, a piano like this may
be a waste. A simpler sampled piano with only a few layers of samples may give you a better sound for that
style.
You know, electro pop may not be exactly what i meant. I love the sound and mood of the pianos that trent uses with NIN. I'm after something similar. I realize that he messes with some detuning and such to get that sound. I'm looking for something close though. then i can tweak accordingly. I actually have gotten pretty decent results with the Reason pianos for more of the electro style stuff but for the darker downtempo styles i need something else.
thanks for chiming in everybody.
And to Lokeyfly, she could totally use the hell out of me too
I just picked up the Komplete 9 bundle and have a $25 voucher to use in NI the online store. I was thinking of picking up Alicia's Keys since none of the pianos that come with the bundle really sit well in synth/electro pop styles.
just looking for your opinions. I may pull the trigger this weekend.
was it an audio track or instrument track? if it's an audio track then you can find it in your pool. you can access the pool via the browser on the right. That's where you have all your effects, instruments and song files etc...
is supposed to be released soon. could be worth waiting for. but, maybe by the time this is actually released presonus will have an 8erport
Yup. i'm waiting for the motor 61 to come out. i'll go check it out before i buy but i really hope it's what i'm looking for. I just can't justify spending the 599 for the novation mkii 61 key. thats just ridiculous for a controller.
So, quick question. do all your existing ADpaks instantly upgrade to AD2 when you upgrade? I sure hope so. I have quite a few that i'd like to not spend any extra money on.
