I would like to request mid-side processing for mastering. Would definitely come in handy.

I know this request has probably been made a hundred times...well here's 101.

well, there is the mixtool. but that doesn't give you dual eq or comp. still, it does the ms-transforms.

The possibility to do it already exists, using chains, but manipulating parameters across a complex chain can get very tedious -- there is a real efficiency in having everything you need within a single plug-in window.

You are SOOOO right!! Plus I see no way you can use those chains, utilizing the mixtool m/s transform, in a mastering context on the project page.

I really hope they add M/S capability to the EQ, multi-band compressor and maybe even the reverb (I may be pushing it there ).

I mean if you have a project page that is designed for mastering, it would be cool to provide the basic tools used in today's mastering trade which would include some kind of functional mid/side processing.

I use Izotope Ozone 4 on the Master fader and Mixtool on the tracks. I don't know if that is a standard for Mixers in other comparable Sequencers yet so the best bet would be a VST, even Voxengo's MSED http://www.voxengo.com/product/msed/ is a great solution and it is free.
