We're looking for power users of PreSonus gear and various DAWs who would be interested in helping us test Beta versions of our software and hardware.

In order to be a good candidate for this type of testing, you must understand that you will be testing at your own risk. For example, if you are about to run sound at an important show and you're using a Beta driver, there is always potential that something could go wrong. We're looking for people who are willing to test new features while making sure the old ones still work as expected. We need testers who are not afraid to run into an issue here and there and will report issues that come up during Beta tests.

Of course any software, drivers, etc. that come from us will have been through a certain amount of testing before we give them to anyone else to test, but if by some chance something does happen to your PreSonus gear while Beta testing, we will take care of it for you.

On the flip side, it's always fun to have the latest thing before anyone else does and to get to try out new features before they are released.

UPDATE: May 17, 2014. The beta for Studio One is full. We have a waiting list of at least 20+ people so the registration for Studio One beta testing is closed until further notice whenever people leave or we have a need for more people to join.

If you're selected, we'll contact you about tests before they begin to check on your availability for the test period. Thanks for taking interest in helping us continue to improve PreSonus gear for you and to introduce new gear that suits your musical needs.

Me too. I have a lot of experience over the last 22-years beta testing for companies like Microsoft. I got to beta test Windows 95 back in the day. People at work kept coming to my desk to check it out. It came on 25 3.5" floppies for the 1st beta. After that came on cds. I have them all sitting my my closet.
Thanks

I would sign up, but alas, I do not consider myself a "power user".

I have reported a few Bugs and suggested work flow improvements for VSL, Capture and the SL24. I only use S1A to create my final Stereo Mix from Capture. If I could figure out how to get the Capture Stereo mix to a CD, I would not need S1 at all (see not a power user).

I hope who ever gets to do the testing can get the bugs out and make suggestions for work flow mods to improve the
ease of use (for us non-power users)

I hope you get to try new versions of VSL and Capture real soon.
As a programmer and beta tester for other software I know how satisfying it is to have a hand in the final product.

Good luck

Hey xzb6np, I remember the 25 floppies well! There was a ridiculous bug where if you removed the Startup folder Windows 95 would never boot again and you had to re-install… It happened to me about 4 times before I realised!

Never ran into that. I remember all my friends at working (software engineer) hanging out at my computer (Compaq Pentium) checking out "Chicago". I was using it for my daily work thru the entire beta

I have the stack of CDs setting in a box still.
Thanks
