we are still limited to 1 to 16 and there is no "Omni" or "Any" .

Usage : let's say that i have 5 instruments on one KONTAKT instance, and i would like to assign a controller to control all the 5 channels at once , in the recent way i"ll have to assign another 5 empty channels with separate controls and draw an automation for each individual channel.

Take a look at a the very simple edition of Cubase and you'll find it , it's very simple : All in and control All channels in the instrument (in case of an external instrument or multi instruments in one instance of a software synth/sampler).

I'd like to see the "any" option in MIDI channel selection and the option to "extract channels to tracks", unless it's already there. My venerable XP80's sequencer has that function as does Cubendo. 1.6.x update maybe?????? Otherwise, great job on 1.6 and keep it up!!!

Been waiting for this and the spiking core issues to be resolved before jumping on board. This also affects those using external sequencers like an MPC or even NI Maschine to sequence VSTi in Studio One. Lets say i want to sequence more than one track from my MPC. I want to sequence drums in BPM and also a synth on another track. Studio One has no way to do channel filtering prior to the track receive. All channels from the source are merged into one channel. So the data from my drum track on channel one is merged with data from my synth track on channel 2 from my MPC. You have to set up 16 separate controllers just for one device to workaround. However, if your are sending multi channel midi out from another VSTi like Maschine or GURU then it is impossible to sequence more than one part and there is no workaround. Studio One lost some potential sales for this over on the Maschine forums. Studio One needs something like the Cubase channel filtering on it's input transformer. We need to be able to pass specific channels from a midi input. Not just merge all channels to one.

Also, we do need all channels option if I want to use my MPC to sequence a multi channel VSti like Kontakt without setting up 16 different controllers etc. So please add a midi channel filtering from source input. Also add the all channels option to destination track. I thought this is what was added in 1.6 and was disappointed.

With the new version orf Studio Pro 1.6, and the inclusion of HUI support, you can now use Tranzport with Studio One Pro Version 1.6. Just select HUI under Macie Machine control in your options in Studio One Pr. On your Task Bar in Windows, under the Tranzport Icon, select Pro-Tools HUI and there you have it. Your Tranzport will now work

Nice. That actually works with Automap as well although a bit limited. Fader moves aren't really smooth, but for basic Mixer operations like panning and solo/mute it's definitely an option until Novation fully supports S1.

Yes!! All my Axiom Keyboards stopped working as well. Now it should be noted that the templates for the Axiom's were made by a another user but they were were working just fine before 1.6

And I'm still on Windows XP Pro.

I suppose that means AlphaTrack might work as well....I certainly hope so.

I've had no issues at all with S1 until I installed this patch (been using it since it first launched, and love it to death).

I now have huge CPU spikes that cause crackling and popping. It's really bad when I have a good deal of VST's running (completely unusable when running FL Studio as a VSTi).

I've gone through every setting imaginable and nothing has solved the issue for me. My cpu jumps from 10% to 100% every few seconds. There's clearly something wrong.

I need to revert back to 1.5, how can I get the file again? The versions aren't archived in the "my software" section. I'm in the middle of tracking an album and I have to get it working.

Edit; I turned off the 4th cpu core in the option and it seemed to have solved the cpu peaking issue. Not sure why it would do that... I had multi-core processing enabled in the last version with no issues at all.

Really hoping this get fixed, because I like the new features.

To their credit Presonus are aware and working on fixes for both of the issues mentioned in the last two comments. i.e. the CPU multi core spiking and the issues with Mixdown

We are testing an update that seems to perform better for those that had trouble, it should be ready for release in about 1 week.
