Clicks digital !!! I have problems
Problem with the PreSonus Digimax D8 Mic Preamplifier Pre Amp
clicks digital !!! I have problems with my D8 connected to " firestudio 26x26 ". Noise of clicks random only in the tracks of the D8. Clicks foxgloves apparently CLICKS of milliseconds in all the tracks of them d8, in the "pre "firestudio" there is no problem. This one connected according to the manual, for optical fiber in (9-16) of the presonus 26x26. Also the port is connected bnc. Is problem of my "d8" harware?

CONTINUING WITH MY CLICKS's PROBLEM OF MY D8 PRESONUS
I use it with mac and PC and the same problem in both ........... DIFRENTES YOU PROGRAMME OF AUDIO. Yesterday I recorded directly to the mac from a presonus studiolive 16.4 16 simultaneous tracks WENT without problems. The mac is a "macbook" 2,1 ....... 3ram OSx 10.5 and connection to Internet. The PC is not connected to Internet, and I use neither antivirus nor anything it .......

This looks exactly like a sync problem. Your 2626 and your digimax have to be synchronized. Did you checked to what clock your 2626 is synchronized ? Check the manuuals !

I'm having the same problem. I have a Digimax D8 connected to a Yamaha LS9-32 via lightpipe to a Yamaha Adat card. The click is not a sync issue. D8 is using external clock via BNC cable.
It happens intermittently, maybe every 1-2 hours. It's at a church install and took me several weeks to pinpoint it. When it happens, All 8 channels click at once, the level appears to be around -20dBFS, not the type of spike you get with a cable short. When it happens there is no movement on stage or at FOH. nothing to indicate cables or connections.
Any thoughts on this?

I spoke with Yamaha Commercial Audio tech support today. They said I'm the 2nd call on this with the Digimax D8 "snap" when using optical. I was told the symptom, a -20dBFS snap on all 8 channels, is word clock drift. The only fix Yamaha was able to come up with was making the Digimax D8 the master clock source and make the mixer the slave via optical wordclock.

I will try that this week and let you all know if it worked. I hope so, I had 3 whopper snaps in a packed church yesterday. Not good at all ...

I set the Digimax D8 to internal clock
The Yamaha LS9 to external clock via ADAT card connected to the D8
Ran the system for 9 hours on Saturday & 8 hours on 7 hours on Sunday
No clicks. Hopefully the problem is solved. The D8 is now on my "do not buy" list.
