I hate to start another thread for this but I did some searching and couldn't really find a straight answer. I just bought a Toshiba laptop with the express card slot on the side and I need to get the firewire express card. Which ones work price isn't really a factor I just need a good stable and fast connection.

Thank You to all that help

My advice and suggestions should never be considered advice or suggestions. These are mostly insane ramblings of a poor aircraft mechanic who can, strangely enough, still hear.

I have a Toshiba laptop and I use a Startech EC13942. It's on the Presonus web page that Monolithent linked to. I also got one of these http://us.startech.com/product/ECBRACKET-ExpressCard-34mm-to-54mm-Stabilizer-Adapter-3-Pack to steady the card in the slot. I tried it without the adapter but it was to loose and it would wiggle back and forth. Startech gives you 3 of them in the pack because you'll break the tabs off the first one you try to put on the card. Just slide the adapter on the card from the end. I tried to clip it on from the side.

Hope that helps, Bob H

I also use the Startech 13942 Card for live use in a Sony Vaio laptop. I've had absolutely no issues with it so far!!!
