That would be nice, but its only been two weeks.......... I wouldn't get my hopes up. After all they are probably still trying, I hope, to fix the old bugs in 1.6 too, before they release the new, we can rebuild it, we have the technology, improved, stronger, faster, super, but we are not paying overtime, 1.7167894567248.
Untill then we just have to keep waiting

after encountering the problem on geq on uc1.7, this is what i've tried not to have changes on sub output delay....
workout my best not to adjust or even touch the geq on vsl, and tried all adjustment on sl itself, i just use the vsl for monitoring the curve and smaart rta and do all adjustment on sl...i didn't uninstall the uc1.7 and using it on live application with two sl24 unlink at our church...works great...hope this will help while waiting for the fix on uc1.7...

I typically use SUB4 to send to a small pair of infills speakers on a comedy/vocal orientated gig.. The only "fix" I've found is to pull 30Hz all the way down to - 15dB on all the GEQs (Fortunately for me the program material doesn't go this low) this sets the delay on SUB4 to 0.0secs. It's not an ideal solution but it allows me to work normally without too much change in routine..

Just a little side note .... had this Issue a few days ago.... did the 1.7 upgrade (with all the same Issues everyone else is having) used the Computer and mixer for about 10 shows... shut down at the last show normal, restarted at the next show and my “Firewire Link ID” got reset to 1.
The Mac Mini would not see the mixer... thought i might of been the firewire cable but after replacing that with no change I dug down deeper and found the ID change. Put it back to 0 and everything works fine... there is no way i could have, or would have gone in to the system menu and to that tab to accidently change that setting doing a normal shutdown from the show before. which leaves me to think this might be another anomaly of the 1.7 update. Then again this might just be something that happened to my system I guess i'll keep an eye out if it happens again. I did call tech support and they didn't even think to look to see if the “Firewire Link ID” is set to “0.” if it wasn't it looks like a pretty reliable issue that would make the Mac or PC not "see" the Mixer... this is something they should update on their problem protocol sheet.

I had updated to 1.7 but had not connected my mac to my SL 24 yet.. From the looks of things I'm glad I didn't. I uninstalled 1.7 and went back to the previous version and will continue to run that until a fix is announced.

Hi All,

I wanted to let everyone know that we have posted an update (still in Beta) that fixes this issue in Universal Control. Navigate to the "DOWNLOADS" tab for the SL 24.4.2 and check it out.

We have also set up a place on our Forum where you guys can post your findings with this latest UC version. Please let us know how it works for you.

Thanks to everyone for being patient with us. We've been working hard to get this out to you before the holidays.

mconrad,

Does this apply to the 24.4.2 only?

No, it's for all Universal Control devices that are currently supported. Check out the release notes next to the download; they list all supported mixers and interfaces.

The folks on this thread should actually be congratulated as well.

The clear information and assistance early on helped us get to the bottom of this much faster.

My hat's off to all of you.

Time to lock this one and put it behind us.
