I am currently at a gig running a yamaha mg16/6fx with no outboard gear because the band does not want to use the sl

I have enough time to type this on my phone as i cant mix with this pile of crap properly

Sl is sitting next to me crying every time the wedges feedback as there is no eq

What sort of band would stipulate they didn't want to you to use this glorious digital console?! Crazy!

Or something a little further south and use a steel toe boot...I've got a rather sizeable pair of steel toes if you need em.

LOL Sorry I am not laughing at you! That must have been sweet! I once mic'd a kickdrum on the outside of the head because the young man couldn't wrap his head around the idea of cutting a hole or removing his new head on his new drums!! After my band played he was mad because people told him his drums didn't sound very good and ours did. He was sure I did it to make them sound bad!!!!!!!

His drum may have just been tuned badly regardless of the lack of a hole. I've worked with a number of full resonant heads and don't usually have trouble getting a decent sound.
