V2 better be good I been waiting 2 yrs for this, titles on videos not quite a eye opener.... just yet of course, 7 days and counting

Which basically means, you bought software and about 6 months later you were already eagerly waiting for a new version? What happened to all those versions in between? Espcially 1.5 which gave us quite some new features and could have been labeled v2 with all the additions, but was a labeled 1.5 to allow free updates for S1 users...

I really hope it's next week soon so we can all get starting on demanding v3... I know some remarks made are sarcastic etc. but I'm gettting a little tired of the tendency of the posting lately. So I'm backing out a little until v2 hits and we all can get making music again...

O.K., for a Version 3 there must be some inventions made, that are not yet out there. A mind reader, for instance, enabling me to compose the music I just feel without having to learn another instrument than my drums.....

What I've seen in these videos is covering quite exactly, what I was missing, or what made my bandmates tell me: "let's do it in pro tools" - only notation is still missing. But I can import midi files in freeware like musescore - so if I need to make charts for some hired gun bandmates, there's a workaround.

Having written this, I see there is still air above for V3: Notation, Surround, Movie-Scoring, and a latency free online collaboration solution (something like 24 Tracks of APTX) etc.......

I think Version 2 will do it for a while

I appreciate all the thought and energy you guys put into this discussion. Please allow me to share some of my thoughts:

- S1 v2 versus other DAWS: if you like it: just buy/use it or not and stfu.
- Discussions on the forum on when v2 will be announced and if it will be worth the upgrade: all speculative. Wait until v2 is out and when you like it: buy/use it or not and stfu.

Spend more time making music and helping each other on the forum and less time on these discussions which add little to no value.

Just my 2 cents.

My apologies! . Re-reading my post I can see how that could come across as bitchy.

No rudeness intented, esp. not since this is such a fine community with truly decent folks. And I feel I need to be civil at all times, and esp. on the net.

Hope The Bat won't slay me for this...

I'm all about some sort of basic notation and a little more emphasis on scoring Just being able to bring a clip into 64-bit S1** would be awesome ... v3 = 2013? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Meh, I'm still stoked about multi-track MIDI editing in v2. That was all I really needed to be able to ditch Sonar. Can't wait.

** Yes, I know this is a limitation of QuickTime not being 64-bit ... maybe the brilliant minds behind S1 can figure out an alternative.

LOL!!! No sweat sir. If you use Studio One, you gotta be smart guy....lol. I'm not nearly as grumpy in person as I come across here. It's an internet thing. No one can see my smile when I post my supposed grumpy rants. So I just go with it.

Ask anyone who has chatted with me on the phone (and there are plenty here) I'm quite the opposite of grumpy.

(I do like pushing people's buttons at times though )
