Har Har... used XT before but the development seems to lack a bit of direction these days. In any case for me it's more of a super plugin ( a host as a VST) within another more capable (and stable) host like S1.

Bars and Pipes? My Music software background stretches back to roughly Cubasis VST 3 back when Dinosaurs roamed the earth freely I am glad to survive such a dangerous period for recording artists.

umm, i was on about this

and this:

energyXT has its virtues though..

I first saw this at a friend's house and asked him for the software. He gave me a disk (or two) I installed it and was very disappointed that I couldn't find the cool sounds he was using. Never thought of the idea that you'd have to collect your own samples

And here is something that gave me major headaches in combination with a MC303 and a Yamaha CS1X. I was too inexperienced and at the time never could understand that whole MIDI thing. Thank God I've gotten a little smarter over the years

hmm, i mostly used octamed (that had midi), even more than b&p, as trackers have better sampler-integration.. but protracker (and its dos-clone fasttracker) had nibbles. great for creative blocks. i ripped most of the samples from downloaded mods (took ages), not having a decent audio input.

should we move this hijacking? mem-lane is nice sometimes..

An optional suggestion for the new look...

I thought this forums look and feel as an optional look could be a nice solution for forum members looking for a lighter look here. While I am a big fan of the new look maybe a much lighter option would work optionally for others who prefer a lighter look and feel.

I'm diggin' the new look. Nice work. It would be nice to have themes that were selectable in the user profiles.
