Hi everyone,

Today I put in my order for the 24 track StudioLive 24 track. In preparation of the arrival. I've been reading any and every piece of documentation I can find. Today I receive Bobby Owsinski's book. It only cost me 1.45 because of a 25 dollar bonus from Amazon.

With the board, I ordered the matching cover, computer monitor wall mount, and a couple high intensity bulbs for my BNC light I still have from the Berhinger. And a mic for talkback.

The way I'm setting it up is to have the mixer right in front of me on my desktop. There is a drawer below that for the keyboard and mouse, and I'll mount the monitor on the wall facing me and my Dell optiplex 790 under the desk

I now have 2 rack units bolted together that held my synth's, 2 DA-38's and other outboard devices. With the elimination of at least 11 U's I can actually separate the racks and give my friend one of them.

As you can tell I'm excited. I only hope my Yanagisawa alto sells on eBay. I already have 20 watchers and one bid, but I am sure it will sell. Enough babbling for now.

Thanks for convincing me to get the 24 instead of the 16,

Steve

It will be here tomorrow.....

I'm so waiting for this. Today I donated my mx8000 to a church/teaching group. Although overkill they are giving students thebability to help configure and run a church sound system.

Thanks for all your kind posts

Im happy for you and wish you the best !!

I love my 24.4.2 and did a 22 track live show at a party last weekend where Miles Davis covers were played with two Rhodes and a Nord stage 2 mic'ed on two amps, a Male singer, two Female singers, two elec.guitars, one of them synth in between, Bass two amps DI'ed , Perc three mics, full Drum set and a Sax with mic and a line for FX too.

This concert is every year and last year I did it with the band's own Allen & Heath and got a good response then but nothing like this years concert on my own 24.4.2 !! The band got lots of praise and the players were very happy with their monitoring.
I used my IPad to get their monitors just right and the overall opinion was that this was the best concert they played ever !!
Of course I recorded it all in Capture 2 and saved the scene settings on the mixer.
I sit here now and mix.

I say no more...

He he. I lend them my Mackie 450's for FOH and used their JBL's as monitors no need for my 1500D Behringer sub with two bass amps against the wall on stage (small outdoor concert).
