I have read through the quick-start manual around 3 times and the more extensive user manual, i can't seem to make any progress with getting to the stage of recording or configuring the 16.0.2 with any music software programs such as cubase le 5. Can someone give me a point in the right direction. I want to multitrack record on my pc from the studiolive 16.0.2 into a cubase. I also have a mac book and i purchased fire wire to thunderbolt and can not get any detection of the mixing desk even after installing the drivers. Forgive me for being vague i simply am baffled and can't make any progress it seems.

If you have not already done so please register your Studio Live console and open a tech support ticket.
That being said we cannot help you without a bit more info......if you will post your system specs
(see my sig), we will be better able to trouble shoot your problems. Without knowing what type
of pc you're running, what OS you're using etc....we can't recommend a "simple fix".

As to how to properly set up an audio device in Cubase LE5 I suggest you read that manual
and or post that question on the Steinberg forums.

if you got it new it came with Studio One DAW that blows doors on cubase... just load it into your PC register it and load the driver into the PC or mac... the 1602 needs to have universal control on the puter to work with anything... and list your system specs so we can better help you.

Hey Geoffrey

If you have your SL hooked up and working with your computer - Universal Control installed and all that
It should work pretty good with Cubase
I am using my SL24 with Cubase most every day without any problems
In Cubase you just choose the right driver, shows up as Firestudio
Then in VST Connections, you set up your inputs and outputs as always
