Hi,
Thanks for taking a look. I would really like to get some feedback on this effort.

Specifically, the overall mix, vocal harmonies and song construction.

I love the boogie-woogie style with the honky-tonk piano.
My main suggestion would be to either bring down the piano or bring up the vocals... I mean why have vox if you can't hear them?
The first verse is especially hard to discern but the vox seems louder after the 1st chorus.

Thanks for your feedback, it is very much appreciated!

I will see about remixing to bring the vocals up a little. I never picked up on what you said, probably because I wrote it and know what the lyric is....LOL

Thanks Again!

As stated, the vocals are hard to make out, especially the first 50 seconds. Overall, the lead vocal might be clearer/cleaner.

At 50 seconds there is a noticeable change in the overall sound.

Harmonies suit the style of music.

Construction... Do you mean arrangement? It's a by-the-book honky-tonk number in both form and arrangement. If that's what you wanted, then it succeeds.

It's better. The first 50 seconds is now loud and clear and sounds good...but there's still that change at the 50 second mark, and then the vocals, while now understandable, still sound a little off (muffled, echoey). Is there a splice at 50 seconds?

Hi Brent,

Thanks again for the feedback. I backed the mixverb down and merged the two parts of that vocal to get rid of the split (Great ears by the way!).

I'll repost the mix later today and see how that sounds.

Thanks Again!

I'm anxious to see what you think of the mix......I didn't do much to it other than merge the split at 50 seconds and back the mixverb down (about 18%).

Thanks for the help with this track, I REALLY appreciate it!

What you did helps...but...that split is still obvious, and to my ears, what comes after the 50 second mark is not as good. The singing is fine, but either the singer moved or some setting is different. If there is someone who knows how to fix it, perhaps they could chime in. Is a re-take possible? Did anyone else notice? If not, perhaps it's only noticeable because I'm paying critical attention to it.
