Hello, I recently purchased Presonus Eris 05 studio monitors in Thomann. The issue is that when connect them to a electrical socket without plug them to my audio interface, I can hear an annoying noise like a hiss from the tweeters in both monitors. I might add that over 2 minutes left to be plugged them into electrical socket my Eris 05 became overheating. I¡m very worried about that. My brother has Behringer truth 1030A studio monitors, he don't have those issues. In addition to that, my friend has Yamaha HS5 studio monitors and didn't have those issues NEVER¡¡¡. Can you explain me the reason of that. I'm thinking about return my studio monitors to Thomann and get back my money.
I'm demanding an explanation, please.
Thanks in advance.

Sanchez1, sorry to hear about your situation. Just so you know, this forum is maintained by the user base of Presonus products, and is not an official avenue for answers from the company. If you are looking for official assistance from Presonus, it is important to register your products, and then open up a tech support ticket to troubleshoot your situation through Presonus officially. You can however provide more details in a subsequent post and allow the users in the forum help with the issue.

I am going to move this thread to the proper forum so that it can get more visibility from people that have these speakers. This forum is for Studio Live mixers.
