Inspired by a thread at a forum of a well-known sound library vendor I suggest to post pics of your workplace here.
I think it's fun to see how others work and maybe you get new ideas when you see how they have organized their setup.

So here's mine.

Sometimes I place the novation directly on my desk in front of the monitor:

P.S.: Once I watched a video where Eric from Spectrasonics introduced Trilian and used a trackball and a fancy notebook stand for his MacBook. Right after watching that video I ordered... the trackball and the notebook stand... LOL

My little hole in the wall that actually flooded yesterday with an all day torrential rain here.

Thank god I had the foresight to build everything critical up off of the floor a few inches... it being in my basement and all. I'm thinking of moving the entire studio to the second floor in my home but I have to wait for my kid to permanently move out... and maybe move my AC unit up to the attic since it gets as hot as a rap video hotties heiny up there in the summer.

Now that looks like a really comfortable and soothing spot to work. Very cool.

I found out early on that because (when I actually fire up the studio) I spend so much time sitting there, that a really comfortable chair was a must have. I think I spent more for my chair than I did for some of my preamps... the ass needs what it needs.

Same here! The chair has to rock.. I mean rock! I got one with no arms because the arms interfere with guitars.

Nice place for an audio setup. It looks like one of those rooms where when you go house hunting with the wife you say...

"Honey, I don't care what you do with the rest of the house. You can paint it all pink if you want and stock it with butt ugly furniture from 14th century London. But this room is mine!"

The "man spot". Every home needs one. lol It's a man thing...

Yep. At first is was a family room but nobody was using really using it so I claimed it. This room is over the garage which I much prefer to the basement.

Yes it is!! With the room being red, it has a very inspirational feel to it. Here's the other part of the room.

Well, this always takes a few pics - I'm spread out thru a few rooms in the house.

Long shot of "engineering" -

Little closer look -

Although S1 finally brought soft synths into practical use, I still loves me my hardware synths (there's an Alesis Ion not in a picture, also...)

My big whirly-baby - rarely used, but brings the VK7 into the "99% real" range

V-drums & SPD-S

Rear corner of that room - guitars and a DrumKat Turbo -

It's hard to get a good shot of the live room - these are some older pics - right side:

Left side (guitar rigs changed a lot - pictures of new setup to follow - ):

The facing wall, note the snake cable going up the left side. I've got a 24X8 bringing signal into engineering, and multiple monitor mixes back, as well as talkback -

The new guitar rig - GNX3, VG8ex, GR33, M13 -

Of course, you gotta control all that stuff - this is what became necessary......

And there's a third room in use for critical mic'ing purposes - vocals, acoustic gtr, etc. Don't have any good pics of that.

Own the home - not married, no kids - works for me!
