I am mixing sessions that are 80+ tracks, I just don't have the time to add an insert on all 80+ channels one by one. It absolutely kills the workflow......HARD. Please make a function for this........please....... please...... with sugar on top!

cheers!

Should you not be able to write a macro for this?

I have tried the macro thing and couldn't get it to work. But if you know of anyone that has a macro for this let me know. However I think this should be a standard thing for studio one, maybe an update.

What is it that you are trying to do? No use suffering while this gets sorted out, so maybe we can come up with a workaround to get you by?

I also face this problem from time to time. For example when you want to insert an analog console simulation (for example the excellent VCC) on every track of your mix. Unfortunately there isn't a valid workaround for this and it cannot be done with a macro. So, I second the FR.

I also second the FR. I was more trying to see if the FX the op was trying to add is something that could maybe be handled in a template, or if he/she was aware that FX chains can be added when you use the add new track dialog.

For situations where an effects is added after the fact, there really is no workaround. It may be easy enough to create a templat with x number of tracks, and an fx chain preloaded (power off), and just hide the unused tracks until they are needed.

Yes, this is what I tried in the past but unfortunately I was not able to make it work with my workflow. I mean, I realized that I was spending almost the same amount of time to modify the template for each mix than starting from scratch.

I hear you. Templates would only work if you used the same plugs, which in my experience only rarely happens.
