Was asked to record, mix, and master a band for an upcoming ep release. The ep has one original, and 3 covers. The posted songs are a Johnny Cash (I Still Miss Someone) song, and the other is the Old Crow Medicine Show (Big Time in the Jungle).

Everything recorded live in the most rectangular, low ceilinged room imaginable. Glorious bleed throughout the recording, and a generous amount of celebratory whiskey at the conclusion.

Band Name is The Successful Failures, ep releases towards the end of the summer on FDR Records and Tapes. And of course, feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

Enjoy

Good job Matt. Nice playing and sounds. My suggestion is to try a mix like an album mix vs. a live mix. I realize you had some constraint with the bleed.

Funny, i was mixing it that way and they said it didnt sound live enough. There is a single that i didnt post that i got my way on though. The bleed really wasnt a problem since every song was a single take. I just let it happen.

Thanks for the feedback.

I´d love to have that music on my CD player - like that live feel. Sounds simple and clear

oh it´s actual "live".. no wonder my inner table drummer woke up right away
