Pls make S1V2 Skinable in V3, i fell in Love with Bitwig, but S1 is at the moment the better joice.

The Gray Blue Skin makes me depressive and not inspired.

With Bitwig its more happier.

Whats the latest Beta Status and when comes the next Update?

Cheers

It's a scientific fact that the DAW skin adds color to your tracks

It is a simple fact of nature that beauty makes you want to look and that such looking arouses our senses...and a few other things.

Yes, add more color options to arouse me.

Its a known fact that for some of us, those that are aesthetic workers/learners etc Meaning how ones brain is wired up andwe have all learned that in school haven't we! even just a more appeasing look to the individual can actually make a difference, I used to get epic tracks almost finished, but would always end up botching them up, getting fed up of working on it and staring for hours and days on end it does turn me off, just the visual feel good factor can inspire for some.

I am okay with the current look of S1,although never say never I may prefer the new one if we got one,
But why we are on about aesthetics my number one visual killer, I have always preferred to See indentation or curve on the edges of clips, and it does actually make a big difference, and probably the main reason why I keep leaving s1, It does my head in in a busy arrangement not being able to see where one clip starts or another ends and it is a big thing to me, it cant be explained unless you understand the principle of aesthetics in relation to the human brain meaning you are wired up that way. but I can fully understand where some are coming from regarding more skins or a skin.

So I will say to the new skin and support a fellow aesthetically brained person
If you will support for and option to have curved edge on at least 2 edges per clip, just something so I can make out one clip from another it feel much cleaner to my eyes that way and I have always worked better when my arrangement can look like art instead of a messy look, that is honestly how I feel when working with s1 arrangement although it could be worse I guess like Abelton,I have never been a star because if my arrangement don't look tidy then I cant feel like I have ever finished a song and I just pile it up until I destroy it or jumble my complex pieces trying to get it to look nice,
Don't take me the wrong way with all this I love s1 that is why I am back again for at least the 4th time, but it would make a big difference to some of us weather they would say it or not out of ridicule, but proven science don't lie. honestly

So plus 1 & 1 for what we both ask:
another skin or two and a option to have some sort of curved edging if possible because of fade handles etc , their must be a way
and no matter how subtle it will still help.

Just imagine being able to have this view in s1, for multiple lanes at the same time, better than the multi lane midi editor, which is more for orchestral arrangent, and bare in mind you cant beat this for drum sequencing also, its a must have view.
Cubase edit in place
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSvTO6cvSAQ
sonar inline piano roll
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AlQFQjMRR0
and a few others Daws also have this editing feature.

I totally agree. Thank god S1 is stable and offers me the workflow needed to get things done, otherwise i'd be out. I honestly can not stand the look of S1 right now. it's terribly boring and uninspiring. i mean, grey and blue? c'mon now.....

no really though, a huge plus 1 for skins! word!

Yes, S1 V3 with Skins, or a much more customizable GUI color.

So... What year will S1-Version 3 be released ?

Hopefully it will offer more than improved GUI / Colors

I've got to agree here too......it's the best DAW on the planet to work in....but not the best to look at.
And making it open to skinning makes a lot more sense than just adding more colors. Different
folks have different ideas about what looks best to them. I'm not a huge Reaper fan but I have some
friends that are power users. Reaper's open graphics architecture has allowed them to create
some beautiful skins, icons etc.

I am not a huge fan of skins. If a DAW looks good (like Cubase or Logic X) you don't need skins. S1 has the best workflow but one of the least attractive GUI in the market.

after a year or so with this blue... it kinda makes me feel like i am in prison ... they paint things blue in prisons and mental wards because it supposedly increases tranquility. lol i don't mind the blue but i would love to change it ever so often to break up the monotony.

Personally I find skins very distracting and pointless. Skins are one of the reasons I dislike REAPER: waaaay too many options. Also, no skins means that people identify the particular look and feel with the product, which is good from a marketing perspective.

IMO there is absolutely nothing wrong with the current color scheme, once you use it long enough grows on you.

Perhaps add some basic GUI color and brightness options a-la-Cubendo.
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i7 920 CPU, 12 GB RAM
RME FireFace 400, NI Audio Kontrol 1
Presonus Studio One 2 v2.6.2 64-bit

My feature wish list:
1. Automation clips
2. Ability to (optionally) undo everything, inc. plugin and mixer knob/fader/buttons, add/remove insert, add/remove plugin, etc...
3. Mixer snapshots
4. Wraparound slide audio items like in Reaper

ya, been using it a for a couple years now. still hasn't grown on me.

I partly agree that skins can be distracting for some. i personally would probably never mess with them. I just would like to see color options. something like DP did on their last release.
