I own a presonus fire studio project for over a year now and it has been working fine.

Yesterday however (and still) the main blue led is now flashing red and blue and although it can be seen in my system preferences nothing is happening.

I have seen in the manual that this flashing refers to a sync problem but I have no idea what to do.

My set up hasn't changed in anyway.

iMac > Firestudio (Firewire 1) > Firestudio (Firewire 2) > 1tb External G Drive

To simplify things I now just have the iMac > Firestudio (Firewire 1) but still the flashing continues.

Can anyone please advise as to what i need to do to rectify this.

I am running 10.9.2 Mavericks and have been since release

It sounds like your Firestudio's firewire port may have failed. You'll need to open a support ticket.

Maybe try a new FireWire cable first. They won't get back to you on the ticket until Monday at the earliest.
