This endless waiting. How can I work under these conditions??????????????????????

On a serious note though, it really is taking quite some time. Hell, we (other than those privileged few) don't even know what the hell it is!

By that chart we should see 3.0 next year around this time.

Not really. If that pattern holds up we'll see 3.0 this winter. Whether the pattern there holds up, or if there is enough data there to even establish a pattern, is an entirely different question.

The average so far is about a year between major release. Of course that doesn't mean anything by itself.

See? That's what I was talking about at the home of the 10. Always with the useful info.

Anyhow, I'd never have known. The one that stood out to me was how long we went from 2.5.1 to 2.5.2 I mean, what did that have....3 things?

Yes, but 2.5 had loads for which other companies would have charged for a full upgrade. 2.5.1 and 2.5.2 were just service updates for 2.5 more or less.

If the 3.0 update is as impressive as the 2.0 was, I am willing to wait out the full year.

True, but I REALLY want to know what 2.6 is since it's relatively imminent.

Fair enough. Have they always done that?

Pretty much. When S1 was just starting out, they were a little more free with pre-announcements. But so much since the features have gotten bigger.

Not true - there was a pre-release video featuring a preview of the features in at least one of the upgrades.

There have been no pre-release videos for 2.6 yet. There have been a few Presonus instructional videos where they made some comments about it but that's it.

If you have knowledge of a 2.6 video, please share it. But I'm sure there are none.
