I hope the FX browser gets an enhancement to Add FX to Favourite option. Would be good to have easily accessible constantly used plugs. Also the ability to have plugs in folders that define what the FX does e.g. a Dynamics folder for all compressors.

You can have effects in folders now.

I made a folder called "Compressors" within my vst folder. Then just switch to Sort by "folder". This is for 3rd party plugins though of course... not Presonus's stock plugs.

I also made a folder called "toolbox" lol. That's where all of my go-to stuff is.

And what might these amazing new features be?

They're going to have this brand new feature called "Menu List".

It's dope. There's like 500+ options in it.

You can pitch-shift midi (b/c that is a feature we've been dying for)...
you can record the click sound coming from your mouse as audio
automatic timestretch and timeshrink to get an original sound
they have a new silent compressor that sounds so good, it's like there's no compressor on it. it matches the original.
you can record the metronome as midi

there's a few others but i don't wanna spill the beans.

Hi CPhoenix,

I have to conclude that the 3,000 page manual was in jest? If not, WOW! If so...

I am not quick enough to discern this.

Just wanted to see if this PC worked. New to the discussion board, and hoping for the 2.5 upgrade. Will it recognize the Oxygen 49, and will I be able to have total control of the transport keys? (starting the theme song for Final Jeopardy) You can answer in the form of a question.

Yes, you can load multi-timbral VST'i's and everything and IT SEEMS fine but it isn't. I do large projects (Orchestral) with many instances of Kontakt, Omnisphere etc. That's when you get problems. If you have 50+ VST/midi tracks and your tracks AND mixer channels start moving around absolutely randomly (incl. change of colors) BELIEVE me it is messy and frustrating. Tracks even move from one folder to another. You want to change something and you can't find your bloody track because it is now somewhere else.

@rjplus
True, its not a feature but a bug. I am a bit negative about this because Presonus never even acknowledged this issue nor did they respond to my posts on the technical forum. You would think it's just such a basic thing and a MUST BE ABLE TO function for any DAW in 2012 but there you go.
Spend it while you got it...you can't take it with you when you go!

Daddy...welcome to the forum. In my opinion (and I have used Sonar and Cubase) the beat forum on the net. All good, positive people. And I think that both the things you ask are possible. I hope so, anyway

Welcome Daddy!!!

While there is no template for the Oxygen 49, setting up the transport and knobs is easy and, in my opinion, I don't use the templates at all now that assigning things is so easy.

What version of the Oxygen 49? I've made a definition file for Studio One for the gen. 3 blue version. In case that's the one you have, you can find the download here: http://forumsarchive.presonus.com/posts/list/45/3455.page#203957
