Hey, no one is a bigger critic than I am about the whole controller thing. But in hindsight, if I recall, setting up an instrument in cubase didn't work correctly for a very long time in SX2 and midi timing was also a bitch till SX3.

Having a faderport, I'll continue to bitch about the controller issues but it's still the best in my opinion.

That's incorrect sir!! Obviously you have not tried the Control link. All keyboards are supported to an extent. It's only the transport that doesn't work for some. the Akai are supported and a few others. I can use both my Axiom keyboards with no issues, other than the transport. So please check your facts before you post.

clblnsfc, do you plan on getting a valid license of S1? Even the demo would be nice.

At any rate, it seems S1 is not the DAW for you. Feel free to check back often to see if we become Cubase at any point, but you might be disappointed.

S1 GUI good from Cubase but
Where is the (example)
-Step input for Key editor(for Stepbystep midi entering)?
-Folder Track(for sum view)?
-Riff machine(as FL studio) for Key Editor Chords, arps, randomness?
I try S1 because I hear that its export 64bit and related much more.

I think S1 : C6 but there are a few minus features but GUI +

I say stick with Cubase. All you're doing is making noise here.. Good luck to you.

Perhaps you don't realize that you're not using a legal version? (as far as I can tell, let me know if you've got another account to which a legitimate license is registered) If you do realize this, then I am truly perplexed as to why you'd continue to post.

Sonicstate has posted the first glimpse at Cubase 6 on the Steinberg forum. Looks like there will be none of the hoped-for inspired-by-Studio-One workflow improvements. I'll have to see whether I will be upgrading or crossgrading. The new features could be nice, but they are still being built on the same platform.

I have to laugh though. When are these DAW manufacturers going to learn that what people want now is power and stability.

Just once would I like to see one of the other DAW makers advertise

"Since we have a plethora of features, we will now focus on correcting the pile of bugs that now exists in our software so that we can have the most stable DAW in the known universe!"

Ahhhhhhh, what a dream....

I have both but cubase is fading fast. I let go of sonar and then they switch to something else like always. I've got my last update for cubase. if studio pro and capture along with VSL are all put into one application that plays well together cubase 5 will be history!!!
