When I pan to the right side I lose all volume, but the tracks play full volume in both monitors when I'm panned hard left or center. I tried this in Logic and in Garageband and had the same problem. It's definitely a problem with the interface. Unfortunately there is no new driver update and I'm not sure that there ever will be one because the product is discontinued. It sucks because now this interface is completely useless for mixing now. It still tracks in stereo, but the only way I can mix is by using the built in output of my computer and some headphones. So annoying. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi
I have exact the same Problem !!!
Do (or anyone) you have now a fix for this Problem ???

Dear Presonus developers,

I’ve proudly owned a Presonus Firepod for a few years. Owning this elite and impressive tool brought along bragging rights in the industry. As a returning loyal customer of yours I bought your hardware in good faith assuming that the price and quality of your products would also be reflected in the long lasting usability you would maintain for me. As it turns out, in the process of converting from Windows to a new Imac computer I unfortunately learned that you decided not to create the new driver for the new Maverick IOS because the Firepod has been discontinued for some time by your company. However, I believe you’ve overlooked that the usage of this product has never been discontinued by many owners in the field. The plugs and inputs haven’t changed one bit in 30 years and so there is no reason why this product should become obsolete. I understand that you have new products that you invest development in, however, you can’t forget about the people that have spent thousands of dollars investing in your hardware over the years that rely on your commitment to update the drivers to prevent obsolescence. This is no way to keep a long lasting relationship with customers like me that have raved to others about the reliability of your service and in the process have brought you plenty of new business. If you think by discontinuing your updates on the Firepod that past customers will eventually buy your newer models, you are greatly mistaken. This only pushes your past customer base away to invest in products of other rival manufacturers who have continued updates, and also gives us a sad betrayal story to go along with it to other would-be Presonus customers when asked for advice. A solution would be to create the driver for the discontinued product, keep the customer happy, and charge a reasonable fee to get the update for the older model. This is fair and understandable. With this win-win situation you’ve netted some profit, preserved relationships with your past loyal customers and heightened your reputation for standing by all your products. I sincerely hope you will consider this suggestion seriously and I will happily be the first customer for the new update. Please let me know if it is possible to do this. Thank you.

Hopefully yours,

Well said Joe. You echo many of my own sentiments.

A paid update for a driver? Not a bad idea. I would happily pay a reasonable fee to get my Firestudio OSX 10.9 certified and with a more secure future.

Hrmn.....it's been my experience that NO company supports discontinued legacy products indefinitely. Focusrite doesn't. Tascam doesn't. Roland doesn't. Yamaha doesn't......I could go on....and on.

A LOT of the problem here is that the OS for your newer computers are beyond the capabilities of the devices...Another factor is, the drivers for MANY manufacturers are developed by a different company...While these companies could possibly keep these products going, their agreements with the companies they develop for prohibit such activities, and it's not difficult to see the reasons for this...
NOTE: If your having an issue, open a tech support ticket and bring the number here if you want help!
