Wow, this looks like a powerful new feature. I will try it out tonight.

Looking forward to going home, update and try out what works and what doesn't.

Is it possible to macro the on/off button of the FX?

you can create macros only commands that already included in S1. You can not create new commands.

Yeah, I see. I just updated and came to that conclusion. Too bad. Lost my excitement a bit. So if no new commands were made there no real advantage for my apose to using Bomes Midi translater.

You lost me there, and that may be (granted) my ignorance of Bome's... so let me ask...

Does it allow controlling / scripting things (actions) that are not in the key command list? If so, could you give an example?

I mean, macros are just action sequences and I would doubt if Bome's can actually pull off all of the things possible with macros... Especially not without physically keybnding all of the actions first.

I think - if Bomes is good for something else - you might benefit from using both, dunno.

I think the pdf for it goes throught that, how to make a new macro. Videos are good though, probably not any around yet.

It is extremly great feature and there is no reason you lost your excitement. You can combine multiple commands and create a button and a shortcut as I have uploaded some macros on my previous messages.

The cc message binding to external devices is only one aspect of the new macros system. So while it makes an external application like Bomes obsolete it also adds the extremely powerful capability of running a whole bunch of actions with a single keystroke/button press....

Bomes served me well for a couple of years, but it has now been formally retired

I can't install the extension.
I see this:

I'm on 2.05, x86 32bit version (I'm running in administrator mode, and I'm using XP compatability mode to run this.)
7 Home Premium
I am online (10mb line)
I have a valid license.
I am signed in to the server from inside S1

Every time I try to install I get the same error..

Is there a server problem, or is my config to blame?
A little help please?

Thanks.

Sorry people, I was just expecting to see more commands, that's all.

I've been using Bome's for some time now. It's very easy to set up a keycommand or multiple. An example of a macro I made in Bomes is: Ctrl A, Shift S (Select all, zoom to selection: Zoom out total) after zooming in on one small audio event for instance (shift S). This has been possible a long time.

Now that we've got macro's, it makes it a lot easier (and clear) to set things up. But there are still things I would use Bomes for. I got the rotary knobs on my bcr2000 controlling scoll, zoom, BPM in/decrease, next/prev preset, open channel, for instance.

You can even go totally crazy by making commands like Alt + 6 times + Enter down to Rename the project. Talking about a workaround!

Try to assign a midi cc button to Devices - Assign current Parameter.
Then use this button to assign a parameter to another midi control. The parameter will always be linked to the first cc button.

e.g. I assigned Devices - Assign current Parameter to the mixer button on my Lauchpad. So i could use the mixer button instead of alt-m.
Now i select a cutoff knob on a vst effect and turn a knob on my bcr2000. To link these 2 together i thought i could press my Launchpad mixer button, but the cutoff knob is now assigned to the Launchpad mixer button.

-------------

Why is it that only midi buttons can be used for key and macro assignments and not knobs or notes?
I understand that knobs are not useful for macro buttons but they can send 0 and 1 too.
