Anyone able to log on to Cakewalk? I just get a parked domain page. Have they not renewed it???

That's not a problem, it's a feature

Dan

P.S. Works fine here

Odd. Even if I Google for a new link, clear my cache etc. I still get nothing.

Strange -- comes up here just fine.

I wonder if it depends on where you are located (I'm in the U.S.).

I'm in the U.S..

When I clicked on the shortcut I made for the Sonar forum, it would not open. I got the same "domain available" message.

I then went to their main site, clicked on community, then forum, and the forum came up.

I then tried to use the shortcut I had made again and that started working again.

So maybe try going to the forum through the main site first? I don't know.

BTW ... did you sign the petition Skyline?

Really odd. If I type in
http://www.cakewalk.com/
I still get the domain parked site.
"Network Solutions
Backorder Domain
Renew Now"

- All Google listings for anything Cakewalk take me to the same place also. I can't even find a back door to the right place.
- It's the same on my laptop as on my desktop, so it's not the computer that's at fault,
- If I use Chrome it's weirder: any searches lead to a blank white screen.

I've never had this kind of weirdness before.
I'm in the UK so maybe it's a tinterweb thing.

Clicking your embedded link gets me there so maybe it is a geographic thing .... or maybe it's because you drive on the wrong side of the road. Not really sure

You weren't banned were you Skyline?

I got banned one time and they went so far as to track the MAC address in the NIC in every device I had logged in with and blocked it. I couldn't even view their site.

Another thing ... they have been flooded with SPAM lately. They may have blocked the entire domain they were coming from and you happen to be part of it. Most of them were Kitchen Remodeling Deals from UK spam. So it would make some sense.

Edit: They've had hundreds of spam posts the last few days. Someone figured a way around their spam filters, or lack thereof.

I just managed to log on to the CW forum. In a thread there CW confirm problems with their DNS. It seems to have taken hours for the 'correction' to propagate around the world.
