Just trying to give you the right advice but I don't know what you mean by industry instrumentals?

If you mean MP3 files then yes. If something else, please let us know what that is so we can help.

Ah, backing tracks

Yeah you can definitely bring them in. Either convert them to Wav or get the MP3 plug. All good!

Ok, how do I convert to a wav file? How would I use the mp3 plug as an alternative to the wav file? Thanks for your assistance!

The system uses Wav files for sake of quality.

Google is your friend to find one that you like. There are thousands and I'm not in a position to recommend one over another. You usually just have to open the program, select the files ou want to convert, tell the program what you want wav files. click convert or whatever it tells you. final product should be a wav file that you can drop into the track window.

For a simpler and faster option.
Buy and install the add on
find your MP3 files and drag them onto the track window
let it process the file and you're ready to go.
Then upon completion of your musical task you select to have it output to MP3 and blam, MP3 files.

The add in will convert from and to MP3 for use in the recording software and web upload

The converter programs take a sound file of any type and convert it to any other type that the support.

What won't let you upgrade to the free trial of Pro? You don't need to upgrade from Artist to get mp3 capabilities, but you do need to purchase the Add-On for $10. Here:

Or as, mono stated, there are MANY free 3rd party mp3 converters. And, as he also pointed out, Google is your friend.

....and it's worth the $10 not have to open another app every time you want to convert a file!

I bought the 10.00 mp3 converter and when I drag the app on the studio one icon it says the MP3 software is not compatible with studio one.

Any ideas?

You must make sure your S1 installation has been updated. The addon only works with V 2.6.2.
