Hi all,
I know this is an AudioBox forum,
but I haven't found any forum that fits my FireBox question better so I hope it's OK I'm posting it here.
I've used FireBox for several years now with my PC, and now I want to use it with my laptop for gigs and on-the-road DAWing
The problem is my laptop doesn't have any FireWire inputs in it,
is there an adapter I can get or a PCMCIA card? how can I make sure it would fit both my
Firebox & Lenovo G570(4334)?

There is no such thing as a USB to firewire adapter but if you have a card slot that will work fine. BUT you just must make sure the card you use is one known to work. Generally cards that use TI chipsets just plain work. But here is the list of known compatible firewire chipsets:
Hardware Controllers: JL Cooper CS-10 Control Surface, Yamaha EZ-EG, Dillion Les Paul style acoustic electric guitar with Roland GK-3 pickup and GI-20 converter.
The Rest: Guitars, Amps, Stompboxes, Mics, Outboard Gear, VST plugins...too much to list!
Thx cristofe for the info, the link is borken though
other than that: do you have any idea how can I find ouy about my laptop?
there's no big PCI slot like in other laptops, but the manual says there's a PCIe Mini or something?
I dunno...

I'm not familiar with that model but from what I can find online it does not look like it has a card slot.
If that is the case, you will not be able to use the firebox with this laptop.
