Firepod not found

Hello:

I have a windows XP computer and it cannot find the Firepod any longer.

The Firepod is an older 2005 model
The Firepod worked for years and now the same computer cannot find the device.

Nothing has been done to change any settings on the computer.

I have tried new firmware updates no luck with that either.

I have the CD that came with the Firepod that also does not work.

It is not the computer because I have a FireBox that works fine in discovering the Firebox.

I also have an Apple mini but the drivers are no longer online for me to download for the Firepod.
The apple can also play the FireBox.

FP10 drivers are not working for the Firepod

If you could send me the drivers online for the Firepod both for Apple and Windows xp I might be able to use it again.

Any other information on the problem would be helpful.

You can try upgrading your Firepod to FP10 status but I can almost certainly guarantee that if you pc recognizes
your firebox and not your firepod then it has failed and must be repaired.

The fire-pod still works on the same computer running windows 7...

There is some compatibility issue with the fire-pod and windows xp

I am going to upgrade the windows xp computer now to windows 7.

I don't think it is an issue with the capacitors,

I also think the capacitors are there to clean up the power. I don't think they have anything to do with the computer finding the device and installing the drivers.

Well then if your firepod works on the SAME machine running Win7 then the ONLY thing that could
have caused this problem was that your WinXP installation somehow became corrupt. I have a
a DAW running WinXP SP2 and my firepod/fp10 works just fine with it.
