Here is a link to my SoundCloud playlist of the songs my friend and I have written and are in the progress of recording:

https://soundcloud.com/wrightsquared/sets/all-dpb

If you listen to them you'll notice that some are very raw and others are almost done. I apologize in advance for loudness discrepancies as I rushed these out so he could hear them.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Liked Innocent Man best. As you said yourself raw mostly.
On most tracks the voice needs a bit of treatment and shine With eq and compressor,, dont forget the reverbs and delays are useful tools in sends and as sidechained. Sounds good on rock songs the delay does.

take care (pun intended)

Thanks! That song is one of my favorites as well.

Gonna spend the holiday time off working on fixing up a lot of these. Your input is greatly appreciated...

Hi mwright137,

"Ready Or Not"
I like your style and vocal sound. Mix could use some high's. Cymbals and vocal are a shade dull compared to "American Nightmare".

Will try to listen to the rest of the songs later.

Keep up the good work.

American Nightmare blew my eardrums out!! Gorgeous tone on that lead guitar with some nice vibrato tho.

Listened to a couple of others as well. As you mentioned that you're still in the 'tweaking stages' on a few of them, but still some great, solid tunes.

I didn't listen to all of them, but I will. I dig it. Innocent Man is awesome. I love Southern rock, so this is right up my alley.

By the way - the tracks are:

1. Cajon (with kick pedal)
2. Shuitar (Google it)
3. Acoustic Guitar
4. Acoustic Guitar (other track doubled, delayed, reverse EQ'd)
5. My friend's lead vocal
6. My vocal (which on this song mainly consists of laughing)

This is the first time I tried Open Air as a vocal reverb so comments very much welcome...

Hi,

Is this for the song "Ready or Not"? I love that song and production. I must have commented before on another song that had a drum kit. Anyway, the lead vocalist sounds great on this one. Nice!

Bbd,

Thanks for the response. The track layout is for the LIVE version of "Ready Or Not" that I posted a few days ago. The first one you listened to was a full drum set, bass, and guitars. Last week was my acoustic duo playing the song live.
