Hi all,

OSX 10.9 Mavericks introduced several new power saving technologies, and we've found that one of these can actually cause SL Remote to lose connection. You can read more about the new features in Mavericks here: http://www.apple.com/osx/advanced-technologies/

The new App Nap feature, which puts apps to sleep when they're not in use or visible, will cause VSL to lose its connection to SL Remote if the VSL window is minimized or hidden completely by other windows.

Thankfully it's quite easy to turn off App Nap for individual applications, and we recommend doing so if you are experiencing any issues with SL Remote or any other Presonus software on OSX 10.9 Mavericks.

rodrigo,

I have a brand new Macbook Pro that was fully updated to the latest Mavericks update two weeks ago, as well as a new 32.4.2AI. In my two weeks of using them together, capture has been perfect.

The VSL-AI interaction for dropping scenes in has been problematic twice though and I don't know what is causing it. It may be Mavericks but I have no easy way to determine that.

thank you for your answer, please let me know if you can finally solve this , or figure what is causing it?
when you said dropping scenes , you mean scenes where saved before from another SL? so you could save scenes from SL to your mac without problems ? or those scenes where saved before maverick update ?

thank you

I've never owned or operated a Presonus or a Macbook prior to two weeks ago. So to answer your question, no, I have no previous scenes from another Presonus mixer.

When I said "dropping scenes" what I should have said was "applying scenes from the Macbook VSL-AI via drag and drop". If I try to apply scenes to the board directly from the Macbook's disk, that can misbehave for me. All other scene loading/saving operations have been good or great.

I've only had this setup for two weeks now. Those two weeks include two band practices, two band performances, four church services, and a 21 ensemble concert with respective rehearsal. Only time will tell how other things behave going forward.

If I find an update on my scene transfer issues I'll post it to the linked thread.
