1. Please! Must have a higher slope on high pass.

2. I was working with Mono last weekend and couldn't help but wish there was a "two operator" mode. We were kind of stepping on each other a bit. Would be nice if I could be adjusting one channel's EQ while he's working on a compressor on another channel. Just a thought.

3. As in 2) above, make it so when my wife is out mixing with the iPad, I can make adjustments that don't affect fader locate.

4. Let me pick what levels I see from VSL and/or SL-remote. It's really cool that when the board changes to gain reduction mode, that what VSL and SL-remote show as well. But then when you put the board back in FAT channel mode by selecting a channel, VSL and SL-remote keep showing gain reduction. I'd like to choose my meters.

5. More to come as I think about it...

How about:
- Replace all GEQs with 4-band full PEQs and have the Smaart room analyses wizard use those (instead of the FAT PEQs). Might free up some resources for steeper HPFs too...

But I like the PEQs on the FAT channel for dialing in with Smaart and then GEQs for pulling out problem areas once running.

5. I would like to have the FX mute and TAP tempo buttons on the top of every window in SL-remote. I hate having to dig down to get to them if I'm not at the mixer and I know there's room for them up there.

A geq could probably be replaced with a 6-or-8 band peq dsp wise...

I have said just that for years... I even went as far as suggesting different setup selections for different applications... The ability to select between 31 band GEQ's and Peqs, or Less EQ and more slope select...

A variable HPF, and man I wish there was an LPF, because THAT in itself on channels would take the place (and offer better overall control) of a BUNCH of GEQ and avoid buildup in those regions that the individual channels source does not use...

What good, after all, is 20hz to 150hz in a female vocal? Or a flute...(Jethro Tull reference is essential..) Think about Guitar, the guy right next to the drummer...anything above 5K is not going to cut through a live mix. So why have 20hz-80hz and 5Khz - 18Khz. Eliminate these and take as much low end as possible out of the stage monitors (to taste here but remember, every dB you cut the stage volume the clarity will be affected exponentially...

Think of it this way, the idea is to not have ALL THAT BASS in every channel. (same goes for the high end) Let the bass instruments carry the load..The more we restrict the individual channels, the less correction is necessary, EQ wise, because the only frequencies the individual tracks have are the vocal / instruments actual range...reproduces less than 1.5 - 3dB...
