Hi!

Im looking into getting a hammond plugin since buying a hammond is abit over my pricerange

Anybody got recommendations on this subject? I found this
http://syntheway.com/master_hammond_b3.htm

The problem is that it is in x32 so I need to run it in jbridge to get it to 64bit. So is there a x64 out there that you guys would recommend that is at a fair price? The b3 was nice price and sounded good enough for me but I don't know if I liketo buy a plugin that is still in 32bit since I only run 64bit.

Greetings from Finland!

If you want/need to stick to 64-bit there's this one:

http://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/keys/vintage-organs/

GSI's VB3 is only 32-bit, but it's the one I see recommended more than any other:

when you say hammond... i take it you are talking about the B3? if so ... the VB3 is the best hammond B3 sim out there. but that is just my humble opinion http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=24

here is a vid of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=XweG5evtp2Q

yes it is 32-bit but jbridge converts it to i think 64-bit VST 2.4 and here is the jbridge link http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/

for VB3. Charlie is great but it's a very large sample library with a dedicated player. The company, UVI
is still around but Charlie is now a legacy product. It has been replaced by Retro Organs:

http://www.uvi.net/en/vintage-corner/retro-organs.html

There also some good freeware B3 and combo,(Farfisa, Vox), type organs out there.
This is a pretty good list:

Thanksfor the replies! I also saw the vb3, it just looked a little to complicated for just getting that deep purple distorted hammond sound. I need something to access fast in the heat of composing/studio session, that is just there ready for me to grab when needed. I'll check the free stuff, maybe I find a "finnished" sound for free

I have both the NI Vintage Organs and the VB3. Get the VB3. It is not complicated. There are pre-sets ("finished sounds", if you want) if you want them. You have to get JBridge for 64-bit, works flawlessly. Just click that Op Code 19 thingy (you'll see when you get it).

The NI Vintage Organs are sterile and lifeless. You won't find a free one better than the VB3.

Agree with these guys -- VB3 all the way! I've tried a lot of B3 emulations and VB3 sounds by far the best, to me. The price is outstanding, too.

I LIVE for the day VB3 goes x64, sadly......I don't think it will ever come.

I hate vintage organs BTW. Clicky (not in a good way) cruddy, weak.

That settles it then! VB3 it is!

I absolutely love those 70s screamy organs, they fill up a rock band very nicely

Another for VB3 - absolutely wonderful, and I used to cart around the real thing back in the day (And currently have a VK7/Leslie 145). I was running OrganizedTrio in my live virtual rig - sounded good, but controller mapping was iffy at best. A friend aimed me at VB3 and I was replacing OT in all my setups within the day!! Sounds great, controller mapping is a snap - just do it!

I'm still stuck on Native Instrument's B4 vst... Jbridging it.

Haven't found a good 64bit alternative yet. However... can't admit that i've looked very hard.

I actually LOVE the free Combo V, but it's not modelled on the Hammond. It's a Vox Continental emu- for all you Ray Manzarek fans out there!
