Hi All, I am now playing in a RATM cover band and we are just starting out, playing the local dives. Since these engineers won't know the exact sounds for vocal, I was considering using my old outboard stuff - Eventide H3K, TC M2000, Yam SPX990 and a TC D2 - along with a midi controller foot pedal controller unless someone tells me about a single unit piece that will do the same job? So I am looking for midi controller suggestions or a straight multi-effect unit that my singer can use for bullhorn, whispers, doubling, verbs, delay, etc.
I will front the outboard stuff with a mic pre, maybe split into stereo, and let it trickle through and out to two channels for L/R.
Don't worry, when we can afford it, we will take the StudioLive 24.4.2 and a computer. I swear!
Thanks,
Ken

Our lead singer in a 9 piece Wedding Band uses the TC Board like a pro!! He can dial up whatever he needs anytime he wants. Great sounds for live, and quite flexible as well.

+[whatever we're up to] The VoiceLive 2 is what you want. Covers everything but Vocoding. And, much handier and easier to use than a rack full of stuff. As you've probably noticed, it will also let you send the engineer a dry signal (although with dynamics and EQ, if selected), along with a separate feed with effects, harmonies, etc.
