So I have been using Studio One Pro for a while now and love the work flow but always wondered why all my notes appear to be ahead of the beat. Well, I input notes right on the beat in the editor and played them back against the metronome and lo and behold the click is EARLIER than the beat. What the heck??? So, my question is, is there any way to offset this in the Options or Setup menu since I'm a little tired of always quantizing or re-adjusting my midi events to fall right on the bar or beats.

Thanks!

p.s. I use a Firestudio Mobile with latest firmware settings as a audio interface on Mac OSX. S1 is in 64 bit mode too.

Unfortunately I can't help you but I can report that I have the exact same issue using Studio one artist through an audiobox USB on a PC. That's a lot of things that are different to end up with the same issue. I'm waiting on a call back from Technical support to see if they can help.

We increased my buffer size and that resolved 90 percent of the issue. Still not completely resolved though.

I strongly urge you to report your findings to PreSonus tech support. There were some concerns that came up about MIDI timing in another thread, and your finding would seem to support (and possibly partially explain) related concerns that the other user was having. If there is something wrong in the software, I know they'll want to fix it. If there are hardware or driver issues with any interfaces I'm sure they'd want to know about those, too. Thanks for bringing it up here, and please report it officially, too.

I still have an open case with Presonus tech support on this issue. Case # 15223.

Good on you, mate. I just want to make sure that anytime more than one person reports a problem here that they are made aware of it. (If one person experiences a problem, it can easily be chalked up to some system specific thing for that person, for example, but if a lot of people are experiencing similar things, it is more likely to get the proper attention. But that can only happen if those having the problems report it and then hold their feet to the fire (so to speak, and in a kindly way, of course).
