Please tell me that there will be some kind of trade in program for us faithful users who have been waiting for all the features this console finally has...

Maybe I'll think about it....after they fix my 1818VSL.

A lot of good additions. Disappointing to have only 4 subgroups on a 32 channel board. quite limiting.

An interesting thing that I read in the capture 2.0 release was:

The 2.0 update offers a variety of other useful features.

Of particular importance, it adds support for 96 kHz recording with PreSonus’ new StudioLive 32.4.2AI Active Integration digital mixers.

Capture 2.0 is free to all StudioLive users and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and higher and with Windows 7 and 8 (32/64-bit). It is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2013.

Yes, very interesting because the specs for the 32.4.2 AI don't mention 96Khz recording...

Help me out here...
What's with the extra levels on 25-32 (above mute groups and mix scenes)

@Jake: I wondered the same thing for a moment. The level knobs would be used to set the level for those channels in the AUX mixes.

Is that because the faders for channels 25-32 flip to control the Aux mixes?

Just Ch25-32 seems an odd partition.

The rotary encoders on each channel have two functions in the smaller consoles. They control the FAT channel parameters when a SELECT button is pressed. They control the level for that channel being sent to an AUX output when an aux's MIX button is pushed. In the case of the 32 input console, channels 25-32 need encoders to set the aux levels for those channels, but they do not have any FAT channel functions to fulfill.
