This app is Win only, sorry.

Edit: See later posts in this thread for a better version (and an updated installer) of this little macro toolbar utility tool. Updated picture below....

Edit: There was a small file name error in the code for the backup files, so the zip package in the OP has been updated.

Didn't know that CT, we could have worked together on it. If you want the source code, let me know. Maybe you can do more with it

In hindsight that "3-slot" design didn't make any sense at all so now it's just listing all of the backed up configurations for selecting and loading instead.. A bit less confusing overall I think. The 3 toolbar config limit was not a good idea.

Updated Install File

I'll remove the other installer from the OP.

Thanks, how about a manual? I'm not even sure what it does. Is it to manage multiple macro toolbars?

Basically, it's a way to store and recall the "commandbar.xml" file, the file that determines what macro toolbar config will be loaded when you launch S1. It's (for me) a way to backup those toolbar setups and to change them at will a little easier than copy/paste etc.

Example: I launch S1 on my laptop and my USB drive isn't plugged in, empty toolbar. Usually I copy and paste a commandbar.xml file back and relaunch and hope I got the right one. Here I can just load / write any one directly, once I get them all stored to one place, and just launch S1 from the utility.

So generally speaking, you could have multiple macro toolbar configs for midi editing, whatever, all with different buttons and functions, and just choose the one you want to use in any given sitting on launch from the utility.

Anyway, here is my final version below but CTStump will probably make another version and/or add some things to this. I was ok with version 1 really (for my needs) but when you start sharing things with people you start to see all kinds of flaws, so, I made some changes.

I reduced the UI a good bit and moved the other config buttons to menus.

Looks good Lmike
I installed, configured and ran a back up.

It is a good work around for a real "save" and "load" option in the macro editor, but I would like to see them add it to S1 so that a reboot of S1 was not needed to load a new/different macro bar.

Thanks Much

Hi Mike,
Didn't you do something similar with a tool that added named tracks for you? I think i saw that on the kVR forum

Where do I find the "commandbar.xml" file?

Will it not show before actually changing anything on the Macro Tool bar?

Thanks in advance.

I've come here from the Cubase/Nuendo land, so the file handling side of things are a bit new and different

Hmmm.... actually, it looks like I was wrong about that. All you have to do is close the song(s) to save the config. So... the "Launch" part of this app isn't necessary, you don't have to restart S1 to save or update the toolbar config file.

I'll modify that part of it.

Great work my friend, I hope many will use this app(at least us Tweekers), I will add a few more items and put up a version when ready although what you have done all ready is about as useful as the app can get and stay compact.

I kinda regret starting this now. It was supposed to be just a little utility for myself but I can't stop changing it.

The latest version - based on some "duh" moments mentioned earlier - is a small "Always on Top" toolbar that floats over the app window title bar and gets rid of some of the unnecessary parts. I'll upload it later after I install VS on my studio machine because coding on the small white MacBook laptop screen is really fatiguing.

I think I'm on a better overall path now.

It always happens that way, kinda like a song your working it's never complete and always subject to change my friend.

Be nice if you could get someone to chime in that could code this to MAC so it could be cross platform. I think any thing your doing now could only be improvements to an excellent App.

The suggestion to make this part of Studio One should be considered(you hear that Presonus).
